I’ve worked with Sonny and S&T Custom Decks twice now since moving to Streamwood, and both times have been highly impressed by the work. They have now done both my porch railings and my back deck. I went with a composite material for both projects, which was a bit more money than the cheaper wood alternatives, but should last a very long time. The front porch railings he did for me back in 2018 would look brand new if I gave them a power washing, and I anticipate the beautiful new deck they built me this year will last for many years to come as well. I will gladly recommend S&T Custom Decks to anyone looking for a new deck, and would happily go back to them in the future. I’m unlikely to need to return for my house anytime soon though, because the high quality materials and work will last for years. Sonny and his business operate with honesty and integrity. Both times I worked with them, they gave me fair and reasonable pricing which was transparent and came with no surprises later. They’re also just genuinely cool and nice guys who I enjoy working with. Definitely bring them in on your next project, you won’t be disappointed!

I am very pleased to recommend S and T Custom Deck and Home Remodeling to those considering either a new deck or a re-deck/replacement of an existing deck, or possibly other home remodeling work. Sonny K and his assistant exceeded our expectations on the project and on all the aspects of working with him on our deck project! What a treat! I am so happy we chose him and his company to do the work. Sonny worked on replacing our old wood deck with a new composite and we could not be happier with the end product, his workmanship and his work ethic. What a pleasure it was to have him as our contractor!! He started our project earlier than first projected and finished sooner, always kept his word, and never left a mess in our yard at the end of the day! They had targets for what they needed to get done every work day and they met their targets as well as created some very satisfied customers.

Sonny was not only honest about what needed to be done but gave us 2 quotes for different materials. He was onsite everyday and the work was beyond impeccable. He did an amazing job, above and beyond what was expected. He is a true Craftsman! I recommend this company whole heartedly.

Sonny Khanthaphixay of S&T Custom Deck, Streamwood IL just completed the replacement of my 25 year old, 400 sq ft redwood deck. I am not the type of person that typically writes or posts reviews, but the work that Sonny completed for me so exceeded my expectations that I wanted to let others know. Sonny did a first class job and I would recommend his company without hesitation. At the outset, Sonny was very helpful and answered all our questions regarding the design of the deck and the trade-offs associated with the various materials. Sonny’s proposal and quote was prompt and competitive. As a builder, Sonny is both a skilled engineer and a talented craftsman. The foundation is all new and very sturdy. The decking, railing, and skirting are complementary and beautiful. Throughout the process, Sonny also addressed all of my wife’s concerns and requests to her complete satisfaction. Sonny started and finished the work on time and on budget. I have been very pleased with all my business dealings with Sonny and I am very pleased with my beautiful new deck.

We just had a deck built by S &T custom decks and home remodeling. Sonny and his crew are professional and very reliable. The deck is beautiful and built solid. I already have asked him to do my kitchen.
