I think Romanoff is taking advantage of being a contractor for Home Depot. Otherwise, they will lose most of their customers. We had a kitchen backsplash replacement after removing the granite back panel on the wall. We got prepared by removing everything in the kitchen on the day of installation. The installer from Romanoff came and looked at it and said he has never removed a granite panel before and he is afraid he may scratch the countertop in the process. I called the company and talked to the manager. The manager also confirmed that they can not do it. I asked if they have the full order (in which it clearly states the removal of the granite back panel), he said he sees that it is included in the order. I also asked if he has the pictures of my kitchen (the Home Depot rep. took pictures and attached to the order when he came for measurement). He says he sees the pictures. I asked why they did not check the order and informed me ahead of time. There is no answer other than he is sorry. I had to cancel the order after waiting for more than a month. The problem is that because we place the order at Home Depot and installation is done by Romanoff, neither assumes any responsibility. I suggest that you avoid Romanoff (and Home Depot) if you can.

I would rate zero stars if that was an option. They were scheduled to come on 11/2 to install carpet. The day comes and the installer calls out sick. Understandable, everyone gets sick. We were offered a $50 home depot gift card for the inconvenience. The guy on the phone says they’ll have someone out 11/4 between 8-11 to do the install. That’s fine, we’ve had all the furniture out of the way since Wednesday evening(11/1). It’s not ideal but we can deal with it. Saturday rolls around and they call and say they’re on their way and they pull up a few minutes after 8. The installer walks in and immediately says he’s not going to install anything because we don’t have baseboards (which aren’t needed they just make it a little easier) and because we don’t have central heat and air. We do have a wood stove which keeps the house warm enough for them to install without problems. The installer then calls the guy in charge and he also tells them not to go ahead with the install. The guy in charge then calls us and says they won’t be doing it and proceeds to be rude and threaten us over the phone. So now we’re out a couple days of work from trying to get the house ready so they could just come in and lay everything without having anything in the way and we have nothing to show for it except a roll of carpet sitting on the porch. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!

We initially had an issue with the age of our house and the carpet we were removing (it was original to the house and from the 1970’s). We were told to obtain an asbestos test. The only problem was this was the first we have learned We were told to obtain a asbestos test. The only problem was this was the first we heard about it. Home Depot did not initially tell us when they came out to measure, and gave us the initial quote, and had us pay for the carpet. This caused a delay in our carpet installation. We also were not given any direction on how to get an asbestos test on the carpet backing. We were able to navigate the process. And get this all resolved. Romanoff made it right in the end! We greatly appreciated their help. The carpet is in and looks beautiful!

The installer showed up after having to wait a month and a half after flooring was delivered and after having been rescheduled several times, only to have him remove existing floating flooring and tell me that he could not install the new lifeproof flooring because of company warranty issues. He used a 4ft piece of the vinyl flooring plank to show me that the floor wasn’t perfectly level. I went and got my 150 dollar 8ft level and said show me the problem? He ended up leaving without doing any installation and supposedly took pictures to justify this using the vinyl plank flooring piece as his scale of justification. They left my wife and I with toilets removed, vanities removed, baseboards removed, flooring removed appliances removed. I would never recommend this company for any installation. I spoke with Lifeproof and Home Depot and they both are understanding and frustrated as well with the situation.

Romanoff from beginning to the end of the whole installation process were awesome to work with! They were very thorough, helpful, informative and kept me up to date the whole time. It’s hard to believe some of these negative reviews – our installers showed up on time and patiently waited while we verified the carpet. They stayed late to get it all done in two days per the original schedule, and the work from what i can tell is flawless. Polite, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. Would use again.

They installed carpeting in a large bedroom and stairwell leading to the downstairs. The arrived early and went straight to work. They explained exactly what they were going to do. They were courteous, professional and worked diligently to finish the project. They work was high quality and I am enjoying the carpet. Nothing like the nice smell of new carpet.
