Shane Samuelson and his crew just completed our kitchen remodel, and the results are truly amazing. Everything was done on time, and they even came in on the lower end of the projected cost. While I was excited about the remodel, I didn’t anticipate how much it would impact my life. Having a newly remodeled kitchen has genuinely changed my entire outlook. My husband and I now eagerly look forward to coming home at night to cook in our kitchen. It has become the heart of our home, where we spend most of our time. The entire Hills team is incredibly friendly and hardworking. Shane’s communication throughout the project was always prompt and proactive. I would highly recommend Hills to anyone in search of quality work and a great general contractor who excels in communication and keeping projects on or under budget

Hill did our seismic upgrade in 2020 and frankly, they did a sloppy job. The vent turtles are not aligned, the roof edge by the z-strip looks like they cut it with a machetes and they bent up the rain gutters with their ladders.

Shane Samuelson and his crew just finished our basement remodel in an old house -1700 sq. feet- we have used them through Home Tech for 20+ years for various remodel jobs and now they are with Hills Construction – they are superior to any company I have heard of in terms of quality of work-which they stand by- efficiency and timeliness of completion. Communication with Shane, John and Ray was fantastic. I can’t give them enough kudos for accomplishing the remodel, which was extensive [due to old-house issues]. You won’t go wrong with them!!

Our 1955 Parade of Homes house, designed by well-known Utah architect Stephen MacDonald, had suffered exterior water damage over the years. Hills was referred to us by Preservation Utah. We worked with Project Manager Shane Samuelson and his crew, John and Ramon, to repair the damage, which included replacing the exterior siding on a portion of the home, replacing a window, and interior drywall. They were all good listeners, as we wanted the remodeled portion to fit as closely as possible to the existing exterior of our home. They suggested alternatives, and worked with us to create a sound and beautiful solution to the problem area. John and Ray were always on time, meticulous in their work and extremely pleasant to work with. I would definitely use this company for any future needs.

Hills Construction just completed a seismic retrofit on our house. We are very please with the work done. Since our house is over a hundred years old there was additional work needed after the project started. This additional work was performed at a very reasonable cost. They did a very good job cleaning the area around the house at the end of each day. I will not hesitate to recommend Hills Construction to anyone.

Burke and Adam were fantastic to work with. After getting three bids for our seismic upgrade it was obvious that Burke knows what he is doing, unlike the other two. Work was done timely and communicated with us through the entire process.

Hills did the seismic retrofit on our 99-year-old house. They were courteous, efficient, cleaned as they went and finished in the time they stated they would. Very pleasant people to work with, and I think they did a craftsmanlike job. Both courses of brick making up the outside walls were tied to to the roof beams with long stainless steel screw-like rods. they braced between the rafters, but drilled holes to let the air circulate through the attic. I got up on the roof to see how this was being done, and was pleased to see the care they were taking. They braced one chimney and removed the other one. Oddly the grant covered the chimney bracing, but not the removal and roof repair afterward. I would recommend Hills Construction to anyone wanting to have their home seismically strengthened.
