We had our master bathroom completely gutted, and remodeled, taking out the bathtub, adding a bigger shower, a linen closet, new vanities, new flooring, and much more. The whole experience was wonderful. Jordan Hollis did the estimate quickly and we accepted it. Fabian Castiano did a superior job of supervising the project. Juan and JR did the demolition of the bathroom. They were efficient and kept dust to a minimum. The plumbers Fernando and Cristia were quick and got all our plumbing needs met. Zach and Alex did a wonderful job on the tile, flooring and walls. Danny and Misel took care of all the handyman projects and made everything look like new. Orlando did a wonderful job on making our new cabinets and installing them. They look wonderful. We have had many good comments from friends and family on our remodel. Overall, the project went great and I would highly recommend Shaw Remodeling to anybody considering a project like this.

We are so impressed! Shaw absolutely delivered. Although a small job they made us feel important. Everyone was considerate and patient. Stating with Jordan, on the proposal, and Audrey the design, they answered our questions before we could ask. Construction Supervisor Fabian was wonderful, we will miss him. Peter did an extraordinary job on the tile work with great attention to detail. Fernando is a great plumber, and Danny and Alex too on the waterproofing, sheetrock and accessories. And Javier, Miguel, Junior, and Sergio were all polite and accommodating. They all work as a team. Everybody was here on time and when they said they would be. These guys know what they are doing. We’ll be back for any additional remodeling!

While the beginning process of our home addition was friendly and professional, it became evident throughout the (really) long back and forth that there were some substantial broken processes within the company, to include scheduling, quality control and contractual agreements. In fact, it has taken more than three years to get the full permit for our home addition, which was originally in the contract–and the results are still subpar. First, Shaw completed some of our initial home addition under contract, which included pulling the roofing permit and engineer assessment, while we were out of town. This was because the completion date was months later than estimated. While we were gone, the company turned off an entire breaker (assumably for the full week). Now, that might not normally be an issue, but they didn’t check to see what was connected to the breaker, which just so happened to be our garage fridge, full of fully processed exotic deer meat. When we came home, the smell was horrible. There’s no way that the crew didn’t smell it, since it emanated throughout the entire house and down the driveway. No one called, or reported any issue to us. While Patrick was great about replacing the fridge, which was unsalvageable, he did not offer any sort of monetary compensation for the items within the fridge, tons of drinks and about 60 lbs of exotic deer, that by the lowest estimation would have cost about $1200. He did give us some whitetail ham steaks though. After this, I was frustrated and just honestly did not want to deal with them anymore. So, some years passed and my husband and I decided that we would probably sell our house within the next year, and we needed a copy of the permit. A few calls to the city later, and what do you know…..no permit exists. We call Patrick back, who at this point knows us well and he says, well no we didn’t it wasn’t in the contract…wait, it was? To which I respond, yes. And he retorts, well I don’t know why I put that in there. The answer to that question, is because I specifically requested it, knowing that this wasn’t our forever home at the time of the addition. So, we begin the inspection process. Scheduling this with Shaw was a nightmare. They would either just show up, without any notice, call repeatedly with a 10 minute notice or just not respond at all. When they did come to repair and tear out drywall for the inspectors, we were the storage and clean up crew. Finally, as everything was wrapping up, the paint didn’t match, the office had no records of the color, so they couldn’t tell their worker the right thing. He also didn’t use the paint that we advised either, which again, resulted in a random show up to our house (thank goodness we were home) to repaint. Then again, to repaint the whole room–kind of. I work from home and this room is my office, so needless to say when a contractor arrives during my meeting and is ringing the doorbell, and then says that he needs to repaint the whole room that day….I’m not prepared. So what does he do. Leaves everything on the walls and just paints around it. Tells me that the overspray, still not touched up, will wash right off, and goes about his business. Overall, our journey with Shaw Construction was lacking. It was very positive in the beginning, but once we paid them….it was over. While they made an effort to fix the issues, that they themselves created, it was a lazy and half attempt at best. I’d assume that if nothing went wrong, an experience might be ok, but given that something always does…I’d steer clear of these folks.

Danny, Fernando, Zac, Alex, Cristiun, joel, William, Fabian from Shaw Remodeling put in vinyl flooring and gave me a new shower. They showed up on time, were courteous, and did a fabulous job! I would definitely use them again. Shout out to Brittany for helping me select tile.

Shaw did an amazing update for our kitchen. Nadya took my initial call for a quote and she was so nice over the phone! She always called before Andrew would make a visit to our place, or if we had an appointment with Audrey. Andrew came out and took a look at what we wanted to do and was honest about what could be done and what couldn’t be done. We did not want to undergo a full kitchen gut, so we went with replacing sinks, plumbing fixtures, counter tops, under/over cabinet lights and backsplash. I supplied the main lighting fixtures (small and large pendants), but they installed them. At the design center, my husband and I saw an awesome sample of quartz and the remaining selections were based off of that. Audrey was very helpful and friendly and took her time with me during 2 meetings. Fabian was the supervisor for the crew that worked on our kitchen. I can’t give Fabian or his crew: Danny, Misael, Fernando, Alex, Sergio & Cristian enough praise! Fabian kept us updated and visited almost daily when the crew was working. Danny, Misael, Fernando, Alex, Sergio & Cristian were all excellent at their trades. In addition, they were all very polite and respectful. They worked diligently and efficiently. They always cleaned up before they left and kept the jobsite organized. We are beyond pleased and love our new kitchen! If we ever do another project, I will call SHAW first and highly recommend them to anyone wanting this type of work done in their home! Project was On Time and On Budget!

Wow, I can’t say enough about the excellent quality of work this company did in my home remodel project that was pretty major and included 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, all new floors, doors, trim, lighting and a fireplace re-do. Everyone was easy to work with and actually listened to my wants. Patrick’s idea of putting the microwave in a cabinet with a “garage soft-close door” was awesome; the fireplace re-do and mantle are amazing as well as everything else. They even sent their master-plumber after the project completed to unclog a pipe and install a clean-out valve. They do it all and are easy to work with! I’ll be adding photos, but their professional photographer took pics too.

If I ever have another home improvement project, my choice would be Shaw, first last and always! They were phenomenal from start to finish. Our estimator Jordan was very professional and kept every appointment and was thorough in describing the scope and timeline of the project. And I can’t say enough about how awesome Fabian our Project Manager was! He and his crew were kind, respectful professional and cleaned up after themselves always. They never missed an appointment and finished the job early with no hiccups. And of course our coordinator Sherry kept us updated on every phase of the project! If you have a project big or small, look no further than the Shaw team!

COME WORK WITH SHAW!! We had a large bathroom in a large luxury home we are renovating. It was 80s pink silk floral wallpaper funky. Shaw met with us, from Patrick and Brittany at the design stage, to Kyle our project manager, until we were comfortable with the scope of work. Once this full gut, jackhammering-the-slab, rewiring, replumbing, (and more) massive project started, with Anthony as the lead of the crew, we felt better and better about the Shaw team. The pace may have seemed slow at times, but the way Anthony led his crew, and introduced us to craftsmen who have worked in his *own home*, the method and decisions increased out confidence in Shaw. Kyle’s words “The job isn’t over until YOU are happy” to us aren’t a sales tactic… their actions backed that up at every stage. No one who comes into our modern palace showpiece of a bathroom has any idea what the old one looked like, there isn’t a HINT of transition or corner cutting work anywhere. We have been using it for a few months now, and this bathroom has ruined us to “normal” bathrooms forever… it’s simply perfect. And they’ll be lucky to hold on to Anthony for long, because that young man will be running his own company one day when he wants to… or, if we are all lucky, he’ll stay on the spectacular Shaw team. Patrick’s competence and ease of explanation of the project, as well as help with good ideas about financing, Brittany’s “mother hen” approach to making sure everyone on every part of the project is delivering more than what we’d hoped, as well as her impressive comfort and ease with talking to homeowners, Kyle’s absolute, undoubted commitment to making sure the work isn’t done until they’ve delivered a project everyone on all sides are PROUD of, and Anthony’s professional, personal, time and labor and skill invested in this project, as well as his friendship with the tradesmen AND earnest, helpful friendly character… can you tell we are excited we found the best possible place to solve our massive remodeling needs? oh, also, we had 4 companies bid this job. Shaw Co had the best concept, and delivered at the fairest price, and it wasn’t close.
