Architectural Craftsmen remodeled two bathrooms for us and did an excellent job. They are skilled, knowledgeable, professional. They are careful, have a great team and were good at communication. They are great people to work with. Will definitely use them again.

We hired Architectural Craftsmen to renovation our kitchen and laundry/half bath. I don’t know that I’ve ever met a contractor that is on time, let alone EARLY (now I can I have after working with AC)! Having an older home, I wanted someone who had experience with maintaining the original integrity of our home and they very knowledgeable in everything historical. I would recommend them in heartbeat!

Mary and Joe Thompson and their team are so creative and attentive to details that we have used them several times over the past 20 years! Most recently our 20+ year old deck needed replacing and we wanted to create a screened-in porch in it’s place. Even though their strength is historic renovations, they loved the idea of a rustic screened porch. They met with us, discussed the project, took measurements and produced a design that was perfect! The quality and the craftsmanship of our new screened-in porch and grill deck are second to none.

Architectural Craftsmen served as our general contractor on the complete renovation of a 120 year-old home. I removed the chimney and all lath and plaster in the home. AC handled the removal of one long wall and two smaller walls along with the installation of structural beams including a new support post in the basement. They built a new kitchen with a little half-bath plus a new master bedroom suite: bedroom, bathroom and walk-in laundry room / closet. The renovation included all new wiring, plumbing, lighting, and windows through-out the house plus an outside deck, new hvac, and hot water heater. Of course, new drywall and trim were also installed. AC started when they had promised and we found them easy to work with and communicative. I liked their high standards – I didn’t have to do any micromanagement because they did not cut corners. They are quite experienced with the idiosyncrasies of old houses. They were willing for me to do certain parts of the work upstairs to reduce costs. On the business-side, they are quite professional and provided a detailed contract that carefully listed the work to be done or not done and included a clear schedule for payments. It was a big job that spanned about 8 months, but we had no problems and we’re delighted with the final result.

The team at architectural craftsman is absolutely phenomenal. We have a historic home that they pretty much completely remodeled for us. That was several years ago. They’ve since built us an amazing garage and done other smaller projects. Joe and Mary are truly gems. I trust them Appreciate them and would absolutely never do a project without them. They have such an eye for detail and are so creative but more than that have the knowledge and integrity. There absolutely isn’t anyone else I would trust with our home. All you have to do is call them tell them what your vision is let them do their magic compare the visions and then let them do what they do. Don’t second-guess price don’t anything … they’ve got you.
