I’m not sure how I missed red flags but this man had a job on exterior of our home after a tree fall, another unrelated job inside, and I had asked him about replacing deck railing and additions. He was charming and seemed competent at first… Literally as soon as he had a check he told me one the roofer was gone to Utah and the gutters a “no guarantee” on scheduled work. With no follow up to that I sought (not procured) new options for which he verbally berated me over the phone SO loud, and for SO long I was shocked and in tears, my 11 yo son came from downstairs to check on me because he heard him yelling at me too. Tim then hung up on me. THEN I had my husband follow up as we had already given him a deposit. Our 12k bid went to 26k!!! With no clarity they asked to move forward without a contract but in “good faith” and have workers come out with no confirmation of their cost. We declined to move forward until we had written clarification which had his wife fire us for not trusting them!! Now Tim just told us he is keeping our money because of the “time put in” and cancelled the garage door installation quoted at 2770. So far for 4800 they have had a 1400 gutter job done, but sent us the invoice, cancelled the outstanding garage door installation that would have together had us square with some money left over for them. That was our offer to be cleanly, and fairly done but Tim has refused and thinks he is keeping the money… So far he had not paid for a thing out of the 4800 he took from us. This whole thing has been a new fresh hell every day. I’ve filed INSURANCE FRAUD with the Dept of Labor & Industry, WA Attorney General. Next is a police report, as 4800 is Class 2 Felony. I’ll never understand why he blew up this whole thing over and over. It could have been good, continued work but he is clearly an unhinged fraud. Now this nightmare goes to attorneys…

My recent experience with Tim Bogart was great and it wasn’t just about his work. I needed a floor beam installed as prep for a wood-floor refinishing job on very short notice. I misunderstood some info he had provided, which led to a delay and by the time we figured things out, it turned out I needed the work done in two rooms instead of one with only had two days to get it done. Tim was professional, stayed focused on what it was I needed and made it happen – he rearranged his schedule, pulled in some additional help and managed to get it all done under budget. I highly recommend his work.
