I built a home using Walkwright construction, worst experience you could expect for such a major project! Larry walk and his partner Josh Wright are two of the most dishonest individuals you can come across in business! Just know that if their mouths are moving, nothing but lies are flowing out…. Had I not been there for most of my construction, I don’t know what I would’ve ended up with. I was warned in the beginning by other victims of this business of how they conduct themselves further into the project. Basically, once you are under contract, they start showing you who they really are! Total crooks and liars. They tried ridiculous upcharging to stealing expensive finishes from the job for personal use. No productive meetings throughout construction process and hiding/lieing about their own mistakes! Just know, if you have made the mistake of contracting with these two, have strong legal representation on standby! I would also suggest contacting many of their customers for their full disclosure and horror stories!

We are three quarters into building a grand home with Walk Wright Construction LLC. They have been phenomenal in delivery ahead of schedule, great communications at every stage and the quality is unmatched from the other 4 houses we have had built. All of the sub contractors are great and admire Larry Walk as one of their favorite builders. We are extremely pleased with them.

We built a house with Walk Wright that took about 16 months from contract signing to move-in. Walk Wright has excellent contractors and builds a good home, especially the interior trim finishes. They offer a fixed price, unlike some builders that have clauses for price increases. On the downside, and the reason for only 3 stars, is that their communication and customer services are below average. During the build in a number of cases they did not respond to questions in a timely fashion or provided short unclear responses via text, would say yes, they will take care of something right away and then either didn’t do it or did something else. But when they want something, like their draw payment, they are very demanding for a quick response. We got an unprofessional text from the builder in one case when we told them that they need to complete a draw item before we would make a payment. During the construction, the builder does not partner with the client to discuss each phase and offer suggestions. The builder plows ahead, and the work in some cases for us did not get done as originally discussed. They say it’s a custom home, so be prepared to know exactly what you want for every aspect of the build at the beginning, and follow up with the builder regularly to be sure it is done as requested. In our opinion, the gap in communication makes the process much more difficult and the outcome less desirable. After we made the final draw payment on the house, we never saw nor heard from the builder owners again. Not even a “thank you” for your business. If you’re looking for a builder who communicates well and is customer focused, you should evaluate this builder carefully.

Larry Walk of Walk Wright Construction built a house on a property adjacent to ours. After his clearing the lot, heavy rains washed away soil and stone from our yard and drainage ditch. Larry agreed to repair the damage after completing the work on the adjacent property. He visited and discussed repairs with me but never followed up. Nor did he reply to phone messages or emails. I eventually performed the work myself after several months’ passage of time. Bottom line: I would not trust Larry or his company to do even minor construction work much less any major construction such as renovation of a property or new building given the failure to keep his word.
