Trey came by on time for our appointment, was very knowledgeable, friendly and honest. I also spoke with Erik, the owner of the company about other details. Wonderful people who know their trade, also not pushy or shady like some contractors.

Really sketchy. I could never get a solid bid from these people. They kept sending partial bids that had a lot of hidden costs. We knew how many outlets we wanted, they knew how many appliances we wanted, etc. 1st bid just had caveats that said things like 150 per outlet. 150 per cut, instead of itemizing it all and adding appliances. 2nd bid didn’t include appliances. Said I was getting my own. Not what I told the sales guy. I had asked for a total with appliances. The bids that were emailed won’t allow you to respond. It didn’t seem like it was the sales guy, Trey, that was preparing the bids, so I called, explained my frustration , and asked to talk to whoever was making the bids. I was explaining the situation to a guy named Eric who cut me off and said ,” Maam, I think you need to find another company,” and hung up. What?? That said a lot right there. I guess I dodged a bullet. If communication was that bad BEFORE they did work, what will happen if there is a problem WHEN they are doing work. Or if there is a problem AFTER they finish… Also, I asked the sales guy, Trey, if they could match the brick. He said maybe. He would look into it. I said if you can, put that in the bid, please. If you can’t, is the stone that was in the showroom what fits under the bids’ price for stone facia, or did some of that stone cost more. That was never communicated when we were there at the showroom. No response via text on that either. I thought there was just a lot of miscommunication going on, but after Eric hung up on me, it looked like they want you to sign a contract with no real idea what you are getting in the end. I get that if you do add ons,and probably most will have some little things you change or add, the price will change. But they wanted me to sign a contract so ambiguous it was crazy.When I called, I really thought the sales guy, Trey, must just be new. He was nice, but seemed like he just had superficial knowledge and couldn’t really answer many questions. After their response when I called the main office, I don’t think that’s the case.

I got Apex info from a friend of a friend… I have never been more impressed by a contractor and his team! Eric was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable and attentive. When we wanted to change some of the parameters, he made it very easy. His office team was helpful and could track Eric or Mario down when we needed them. All in all, they completed our patio cover in 5 days. Wow! And they did beautiful work. If something wasn’t right, they fixed it! We have had a lot of work done on our house recently and they are by far the best communicators, showing up on time and not leaving till the days task was done. They even cleaned up well after themselves. I could not have been happier hiring Apex. They are professional and efficient, everything you would hope to expect, and very rare these days. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them to my friends and family.
