I am going to split this review in two, a review for the home, a review for their customer service. The home itself is beautiful, well designed, spacious and in my opinion the fixtures feel and look high quality. The only issues i see is that there are a few light switches that don’t do anything, some of the clay in the tile is already losing its color and the paint from the cabinets feels like it’ll peel right off. I give the home a 2 out of 2.5 stars. Their customer service, is in need of improvement. We moved into a home full of construction dust, we’re lied to that appliances were connected (they were not), there have been ignored calls, emails and text messages. I understand I am not their only client but it does feel like I never was with how poorly they respond. There is small damage to the stucco outside of the home that they’ve known about for a month that still has not been fixed, I still can’t get the warranty docs despite being told they were ready and being told they would be dropped off twice (no one showed up – no call was made to tell me), I went to the office and came home without them. I will admit that the owner does seem to care but he does not have time to address everything himself and either needs more staff or a new one. He proved this when we alerted him that the gate is on the wrong side. He tore down the work that had been done and had it done the way we talked about. 0 out of 2.5 stars.

First of all, I want to thank Marissa and Matthew for always answering and helping me with any issue that we had. The process to building my home was easy even with some challenges in the beginning. I can say they built my dream home that I dreamt for my children. Thank you!

I have nothing but good things to say about Pin Point Construction, they helped me through every step of the way when it came to building my dream home. I’m grateful I chose them to build my home it was an easy process and the attention to detail was on point. Pin Point staff know what they are doing I can say I trust them with anyone I know who is looking into building after my experience. 10/10 recommended you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you to PinPoint for building our little Heaven here on earth. Thank you for the patience, time, and dedication to our home. We were allowed to to be involved in every step of the way. From the first time we met Matthew, then Eli with Mortage Pro to Scottie and Marissa. They worked with us to get the custom home we wanted and delivered. Like any home building there is always bumps on the road but they always kept us informed of the situation and got it resolved. Even now as we move in they assured us any problems that arise, we can contact them to get it corrected. I would be recommending Pinpoint Construction to friends and family.

I am compelled to share my candid feedback on the PinPoint homebuilding experience. While I appreciate the efforts put into the project, there were several notable aspects that left me less than satisfied. To begin, the timeline set by the sales agent, SCOTTY, was not met. What was initially promised to be a 6-8 month project extended to a completion time of 1 year and 8 months. This discrepancy proved to be inconvenient. The interaction with the “designer” MARISAp also presented challenges. What was discussed and agreed upon did not always align with the final outcome. For instance, we were promised a beautiful metal door but received a wooden one, with the explanation that the metal option was deemed too expensive. This was disappointing, especially considering our specific request for a durable door due to sun exposure. Similarly, discussions about a custom mirror for our daughter’s room took an unexpected turn. Despite our willingness to cover the cost and providing pictures for reference, the final result did not meet our expectations. Upon receiving our home, we noticed several issues that needed attention. These included paint over tile floors, windows that wouldn’t lock, a driveway stained with white paint (for which we paid extra), a missing awning, water stains on the ceiling in the shower, an uneven kitchen (for which we paid an additional $5000), and A/C units that didn’t effectively cool certain rooms. Furthermore, there were non-functional outlets and broken elements throughout the house. While legal action was considered, the associated costs and time constraints led us to forgo this route. Over the course of a year, attempts to address these issues through email proved unsuccessful, with no response or resolution. I am willing to share evidence of our concerns through text messages and photographs. If anyone has questions or doubts about my review, please feel free to reach out, and I’d be happy to provide more details. My intention in sharing this review is not to criticize but to provide constructive feedback for potential improvements. I hope this proves beneficial for future clients considering PinPoint.

So glad I went to pinpoint! Quality homes and materials. Matt was very helpful through out the whole process and any issues we had he would always pick up the phone. Also interior designer Marissa was very good at picking colors and ideas for the home. Highly recommend

One of the best Builders if not the Best builder in the lower Rio Grande Valley !! One of kind customer service when building a custom home. I trusted Pin Point to build my dream home with exceptional craftsmanship and they delivered. They definitely strive for integrity with their customers. Highly Recommended !!!

PinPoint Construction is amazing at what they do. They Don’t cut any corners and guide you through every step of the building process. Amazing Company, Matthew is very responsive and attentive as well, great experience.

The WORST company to work with when building your home. POOR communication all around. No one ever seems to know what is going on, and, therefore, issues that were discussed never get addressed. Three months in and already having issues with the door and windows that I had mentioned during the build. Response was always it’s “scheduled.” Months would go by, and nothing would be done until I mentioned it again. The “project managers” never seemed to know what was going on, much less the owner. Ordered hardware went missing, and no one knew what happened to it. After closing, keys were given to me, and I asked if these were all the keys, and the response was yes. Come to find out, PM had the last set of keys and stated no one told him I was closing. As stated, Mr. Ruiz likes to quarrel with the clients on almost everything and does NOT like to fix mistakes. Construction took longer than 12 months, resulting in having to pay TWO extension fees. This build was not pleasant at all. Your ideas, concerns, and issues go unheard. Do yourself a favor and look for a more reliable company-one that knows how to communicate, problem solve, and resolve issues. They need to rethink their slogan, “homes built for a lifetime.”
