We’ve been in our home for 10 years. The WORST builder we have ever seen. I wouldn’t recommend this builder to the devil. This kid is not there for your satisfaction, all they want is your money. The electrical, the plumbing and the building itself is awful. Nicks in wiring (I’ve kept everything) plumbing with nails in the PEX tubing. Replaced a window and take a look what they did. ( some idiot just broke the OSB over their knee or something.) After five years we had septic system failure. 4 of the homes on our road have failed. Dehec is useless the builder is really useless. I asked for 2 things when they built Enough room for in ground pool and I will be able to get cars up and down our driveway with out hitting the bottom of the cars. I finished a restoration on a car and took down the drive and cracked the front spoiler Thanks DD. I worked many years on that car And I still can’t get it down without scraping the spoiler. So much more but hell I just keep raising my Blood Pressure. I should have moved years ago but now in my mid 70’s and not worth it. DD wishes they could build a home like I’ve down fixing what they screwed up. You all have a great day boys and girls and remember what I said years ago, if it doesn’t fit use caulk)

Distinguished Design prides themselves on their shoddy work and poor communication skills. It has been an uphill battle with this “business” as their negligent practices have led to the diversion of water onto properties that neighbor their projects. One of Distinguished Designs’ guarantees is that “corners aren’t cut.” However, this business has cut several corners and, in the process, damaged property. Since these so-called “professionals” refuse to hold themselves accountable, you should. As such, I highly advise against using this business for your needs—save yourself the financial troubles.

Terrible company, the quality of work is horrendous. As a licensed contractor, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Also their grading work is only best if you want a river running through you and your neighbors yard everytime it rains!! Don’t take my word for it, look through all the reviews! They get in and out as quickly as possible so they don’t have to deal with any issues once the house is sold. And if you don’t like what they done, they look you right in the eyes and say “if you don’t like it, I suggest you just sell and move”. Stay away from them if you care anything about the quality and safety of your home.

Company is full of excuse and lord for bid u have to talk loud due to your surrounding they accuse u of yelling and stuff took over 2 yrs to get my walk throu done argued with and told me I was a liar just to turn out to be right about the whole situation and now not even 3 Yeats in sidi g is messing up and nothing they can or willing to do hope whoever purchases a house with these guys gets a better treatment than I have

Moved into our new home from DD May 31st 2019. We love our new home in this great location. Steve was very receptive to all of our needs during the warranty process. Building a home is very stressful but everything has worked out great. Update November 21st 2021: We still love our home but wanted to update on the builder. We would never recommend this builder to anyone. Very poor craftsmanship. The builder missed two critical beams under the house. They did fix it after we had gotten a quote from Cantey Foundation ($6,800). I don’t believe there is one square or plum wall in the entire house. Outside we hit the main water line coming into the house with a rototiller. Line was only buried 6” down. Water has always been an issue during rain. Richard who did the landscaping, should probably stick with a different carrier path. I will attach pictures to show there great work (sarcasm). Find a different builder; please save your heartache. Update 1/1/22- took down drywall on fireplace to replace with cement board to put up brick instead and found two fire hazards behind the wall. Insulation touching exhaust pipe which clearly says “Hot do not allow insulation to touch” and cardboard box filled with brackets inside the wall touching the bottom of the fireplace. Not to mention no insulation touching outside wall. Will continue to post as we find problems.

Distinguished Design built my custom house with his/her garages over a year ago. They had the process streamlined so it was very efficient and we didn’t have any issues with delays. The entire team was very professional and quick to respond. They were all a pleasure to work with. Now, even a year later, the warranty tech followed in the same manor as the build team… very professional, responsive and a pleasure to work with. Any issues I had were quickly resolved. I would definitely recommend this builder to others. One thing I will warn, make sure you know for certain what you want when you tell them. They will start as soon as you give the ok and any changes cost money. Thank you Distinguished Design team for my forever home!

We want to thank David Hazel and Distinguished Design for handling all the warranty work on our 2 1/2 yo house in a timely, profession, and diligent manner. Actually way past the one year time frame, and without any hesitation– regardless of the size of the issue. We recently had a backyard drainage issue and he sent in a crew with heavy equipment and it was handled quick-time. Problem solved. DD has been a pleasure to work with from the start of construction and here we are 2+ years later and can still count on them to be accountable for any and all concerns. Special commendation goes out to Jose Morales for being an outstanding point person in all of this. We thank DD, David, Jose, et al, for this great builder experience. Also, our neighbors are the best, beyond words.

We had Distinguished Design build us a semi custom built home. From choosing the lot, choosing the floor plan, using their design center to choose all flooring, colors, cabinets, windows, counter tops, and fixtures, they worked with us on every aspect! We were from out of state and the supervisor, Jose Morales, sent us pictures and answered questions as we went along so that we felt confident during the build. Great experience and beautiful house!
