We hired Kaminski Construction to help us with a remodel after a bathroom flooding incident. Kaminski was absolutely phenomenal throughout the whole process. Jason was responsive and timely and was in constant communication with us through the whole remodel. The Project Manager was wonderful, the crew was kind and engaging to my family. There were multiple days when my wife or my mom were watching the kids and at home with the Kaminski crew and both of them mentioned how polite and kind they were. No foul language, no inappropriate conversation or anything. I can’t recommend them enough. In every piece of the process, Kaminski was so helpful. I wish I could give more stars… Don’t hire anyone else, I promise it’ll be worth it.

I am very pleased with the renovations Kaminski Construction made to our home. They did quality work that produced the changes we wanted within the time they estimated. Best of all, they did not exceed their bid price. The owner, Jason Kaminski, and his crew were great to work with. I highly recommend Kaminski Construction for general contractor services.

Master bathroom remodel. Very happy, quality work, great advice on a workable design and came in under budget. I particularly the advice and work from Tony and Jermaine. I would hire this company again.

I waited a couple of weeks so that I could be fair with this review, because I was a bit annoyed with them. This could’ve been a 5-star review. Pros: ========================== -Everyone I met at Kaminski was friendly and professional. -They did the work I contracted with them to do in a fairly short period of time. -When the guys came to do the job they did quality work, in a very professional manner. -When they left, I even considered contacting them to replace the old galvanized pipe in my house sometime over the next year. I actually mentioned it to their carpenter before he left. That outcome seems unlikely now for the reasons that follow. -Once I posted my review I got a call asking how I could be more satisfied. I realize I am not their only client, and don’t consider my job to be any more important than anyone else’s. This said, I appreciate the effort. -I did get a refund for them for… something. Not sure what it was for. (See my last “Con” item. Cons: ========================== -We were told that they would charge half the bid in deposit, then they charged the whole thing. In fairness they reversed this charge. -My only sincere complaint is the opacity of their billing. Don’t get me wrong. they gave me a VERY detailed estimate and – as I mentioned in the first part of my review – they sent me a partial refund of the initial charge. Gosh this is going to sound like I am complaining just to complain, but hear me out. The real issue is I have not yet received a detailed explanation of exactly what I was charged for. When I spoke to the company I was told that prep work went longer than expected, and was told I would get a detailed invoice. Look, I am not going to quibble over the price. I am not looking for a refund I am not due. The fact is I signed the contract, but I want to know where the money went. That is all. They did great work, and I now more than trust them. Conclusion: ==================== First impressions matter fair or not. The final assessment is, though I would work with them again, I just want to a receipt. Their bids are detailed enough that this should be doable.

Update: Kaminski came back out and fixed the deck. They did have to completely take it apart again but they did rectify the issues. I am happy with the end result. From start to finish my job was a disaster. The right hand had no idea what the left was doing. I called July 2022 for a bid to paint my house, put in a new front door with stain and replace my back deck with composite decking. Their price for painting my house was almost double what my other 3 quotes were. I decided to use them for my front door and back deck. The guy who came out to quote me, told all this stuff and NONE of it was true. From the start I was told to use their online portal to communicate with them, see photos of my job and know the progress. I reached out via their portal with no response and never any ups. I was also told a start date of 4 weeks out. I gave them my deck choices and ordered my front door from one of the door companies the work with. The job would take 4 days total. 4 weeks go buy and no word from them. I finally call and was told that the person handling my job no longer worked there. Finally someone else calls me back to confirm my job and start date. We are now past the start and I’ve heard nothing, so I call again on a Thursday, to be told my job would start that Monday. Monday comes and the crew arrive early. The truck arrives to deliver everything and it is NOT my stuff. I then ask about the front door and nobody knows anything about it. I call the door place and nobody from Kaminski ever picked it up, (it was ready 3 week’s earlier). Which means they have not stained it either. The guys are now hanging around with no work to do. The deck supplies do not arrive until the afternoon if the following day. I continue to ask about my door with no results. The door finally gets installed a few weeks after my start date because they didn’t even pick it up or start staining until a week after the job started (the 4 day job) They were to replace the full door & door jam, which meant removing some of the stone facade and replacing it. It was all part of the quote which I agreed to. However, they ended up Not replacing the surround or removing any stone, just replaced the door. They did NOT deduct any of that from my bill, even though they did not do the work. They also used the cinder blocks from my old deck and the guy said that he would return the new ones since he didn’t need them BUT I did not get a credit!! Promises that never happened! 1. We will bring the deck level with your patio door so they are flush. The deck will also attach to your house. The deck is not attached to the house and it is lower than the door, so I had to repaint that gap between the door and the new deck, the full length along. 2. We’ll do 12ft full boards running out from the house . Yes 12ft boards arrived but the installer chopped them up and staggered them like he was installing a wooden deck. He did NOT run them coming out from the house. Not sure what he has done but every board dips in the middle, so water pools all over the deck. When he was installing the deck he proudly said that this was his FIRST composite install and he had to watch a video on it the night before. WTH!!! The boards are also not spaced evenly, some are butted up tight to each other, while others have big gaps. Basically I would NOT ever use Kaminski Construction again and I would never recommend them. I’m late writing this review (8 months since it was completed) because I was so angry to start with, that I wanted to calm down. It was also fall when everything finally got finished, so I’ve only started to use my deck in the last 4 weeks. The photos show the dip in all the board and the seems being either butted up right to each other or huge gaps.

Kaminksi Construction painted our 93 year old house, spending about a week just in the prepping. They were thorough, responsive to our needs and requests, and treated our house like it was their own. We had a couple of things that needed repair and they did it very well. We would highly recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of work done, whether construction or painting. We will definitely call them again when needed.

I saw the news tonight and saw your opinion that customers should have a choice regarding using natural gas. I read many of your reviews and would consider you for a future project. I agree at some point in the future we will move to electric appliances only but we are not there yet. The electrical grid is not heading to great reliability. I added the capability of using a generator to run my natural gas furnace if needed. Thank you for your support of choice.

We hired Kaminski to identify and repair the source of constant leaking in our basement. They insisted that the source of the leaking was a foundational issue, which they “repaired” over the course of several days (and to the tune of thousands of dollars). About a month after they claimed the problem was solved, the leaking returns. We discovered that the issue was actually with the piping system in the house. When making their assessment of the problem, Kaminsky never mentioned that there could be an alternate source besides the foundation. Hiring them was expensive and ultimately did little to nothing to address the actual problem.

Kaminski Construction did a bunch of work on our home this summer, including replacing a wooden deck with a concrete patio and replacing 10 windows. Every member of the Kaminski crew was professional, friendly, and polite. They always chose to complete detailed work instead of just rushing through the project to get things done. We’re so happy to have the new upgrades to our home, and we highly recommend them to others.
