Closed on our home in July 23; Wish I would have read some of the reviews prior to making the decision, we were told by Jackie , the builder rep that there would be follow up on missing screens, paint touch ups, & several other items that were not complete from the walkthrough; I have reached out every month since closing JUST for the screens, first Jackie stated that she dropped them off on the porch – that was false; Next, it was that she would bring it next week, we’ll here we are 4 months later and no screen (which come with the home!) No response from her or anyone that reps them ! This makes our 3rd home purchase so not new to home buying – Have integrity JSJ , get us our window screens!!!!!! *UPDATED* Thanks for reaching out Devin, it’s folks like you that make the difference in customer satisfaction! We have our screen!

JSJ built our home and we moved in within the last week. The quality of the home and the smooth process from design to completion is top tier. The employees are professional and the attention to detail is what you would expect from a tenured builder. Communication and transparency were excellent throughout the build. We are beyond thrilled with the end product- it is our dream “farmhouse”!

I personally purchased my home from JSJ Builders in May 2022 and I could not be more disappointed in the quality of work, responsiveness, and absolute lack of ethics. I’ve made multiple warranty claims in the first year and each time they are closed with no resolution. Most recently, I turned in a water leak from my windows in April 2023, and the repairs were never made. Now I have mold and wood rot around the sill, and water pours into my home when it rains heavy. No one responds to my questions or follow up. Save yourself a lot of future time and money headaches and go with a different builder

JSJ Builders Inc recently built a primary home for our family. We could not be happier with the experience. From start to finish it was a very professional experience. Their experience with residential home building offered us comfort as we selected our home plan. They understood the needs and desires of our family. The design studio was a very helpful addition to the process as we selected items for our home and the design studio manger offered great suggestions. The build team was amazing. They were trusted partners in the build process. They offered great communication and offered no surprises. The attention to detail was fantastic. The sub contractors that JSJ Builders partnered with on our project were reliable and JSJ Builders held all of the sub contractors accountable. Our family would highly recommend JSJ Builders. The entire team we worked with felt more like family than a business relationship.

They will not give you your money back if you can’t close on your home for whatever reason be aware of that I am now out of 3k.

This is our 2nd home but first home from JSJ, and so far, we have had a HORRIBLE experience. We currently have electrical and AC unit issues causing out utilities to be 700+. We tried to reach out to the builder contact person, with minimal to no response. the ten year structure warranty that comes with your home is a complete joke, so is the one year builder warranty.We could not wait for this house to be built, and it has been a horrible first home here in North carolina . We understand that every home will have its issues. However, it’s not even one year old, and we started seeing issues within the first six months. I highly recommend staying clear of buying a home through this company.They also will not answer their phone if you try to contact them to simply ask what contractors they used.The yard continuously holds water as this was reported in my walk through. We are very patient people, but business is business, and we’re not asking of anything less than a new homeowner should receive from the builder to be resolved. This is not our first home buying process, but this has really not been the best experience.

My bathroom doors upstairs would not latch and I reported it. It has been a month since I closed on the home. I was told after the fact they came by once, but I was not notified prior they were were coming to have someone be present at the home as I have taken pictures of my yard with sink holes as one of my children stepped down and their foot dropped down in the hole. I reported it and was told it was probably an air pocket in the ground and the yard looks like its washing away. The yard continuously holds water as this was reported in my walk through. Now after closing I have been told the landscape crew is behind 2 weeks before they can come back out. I am missing a window screen on my window and was told they would drop one off. I have yet to receive the window screen and dropping it off for me to to replace is not my job. My garage door would not close and I reported it. No one came out so I had to get someone to come out and fix this after a week of purchasing the home and no assistance with resolving this from the builder. Prior to closing, customers service was good and I was told to let them know of any issues as they arise. Since closing after a month of being here all I have received are broken promises or nothing getting resolved. I am a very patient person, but business is business and I’m not asking of anything less than a new homeowner should receive from the builder to be resolved. This is not my first home buying process but this has really not been the best experience.

We bought our first home from JSJ, and so far we have had a HORRIBLE experience. We currently have a roof leak, because they didn’t put flashing where it was supposed to go, the ten year structure warranty that comes with your home is a complete joke, so is the one year builder warranty. If your floors are coming up, they will claim it’s normal. Our home was built so poorly to name a few more issues- crooked walls, flooring that comes up, staples in carpet, concrete that started coming up the first two weeks, the shingles flying away with the slightest amount of wind, glass, nails and debris left everywhere in the yard. We could not wait for this house to be built, and it has been a horrible first home. We understand that every home will have its issues, however, it’s not even two years old and we started seeing issues within the first six months. I highly recommend staying clear of buying a home through this company. They also will not answer their phone if you try to contact them to simply ask what contractors they used.
