They are a corrupt company in bed/bribing state officials to keep interstate construction contracts. Not to mention the entire county of Franklin is currently under construction (about 20 miles) but they have been working on the same .5 for the last 3 weeks. It’s a racket and a shady operation, I hope your workers stay tf outta the way because I’m not going to cost my self valuable time driving 55mph for 20+ miles when you are only present for the .5

*UPDATE: Can someone PLEASE regulate or inspect this company?! Everything they do is an absolutely disgraceful, unorganized, unprofessional, unnecessarily prolonged mess. The state of Illinois should hold a higher standard than what this company provides. (Bridge project at Renshaw Rd. on IL Highway 145 South) UPDATE: Can IDOT please send an inspector to check the work site on US Highway 45 over the Saline River? This site is incredibly messy & inefficient. The site managers are allowing displaced mud & soil to be tracked all over US Highway 45 daily. UPDATE: If anyone from E.T. Simonds sees this, your timers on the bridge construction over the Saline River north fork are terribly off. You all are severely disrupting traffic flow along US Highway 45. Please complete these projects efficiently & ASAP so the residents of the area can resume freely commuting. This company is an absolute disgrace. I am a freelance journalist, & I just drove through an E.T. Simonds road repair worksite yesterday to find 14 (yes, FOURTEEN) male workers standing in a large group laughing & conversing while ONE worker performed a job. Meanwhile, traffic amassed at both ends of the work site, unmoving for over 10 minutes. One driver was attempting to pass through the work site en route to a local hospital & was physically approached & confronted by an E.T. Simonds employee holding a stop/slow sign when the driver asked how long the wait would be & explained their situation. I will be personally attending E.T. Simonds work sites going forward to record & document performance reviews regarding work efficiency, professionalism & traffic flow maintenance. If any fellow reviewer has any experience that they would like to share, please contact me. When complete, this project will be turned in to members of the Illinois state senate. Also, quite a few of the 5-star reviews that have been left are by employees of the company presenting a clear conflict of interest in reviewing.

Very unprofessional. Driving through traffic when a lifted truck with their printed logo on the side, cuts me off and then proceeds to flip me off. Would not recommend.

Absolute joke – been working on the bridge outside of Harrisburg for 8 months, and still holding up traffic for 30 minutes while 3 guys work. Absolute joke of a company

I truly have no idea why the state of Illinois keeps contracting this company any work I’m sure it has to do with someone scratching someone’s back and padding their pockets, because there is no way in the world that it’s because of quality work in a timely manner! Every project they have been on takes twice as long as they should! They have been causing major traffic backups and getting people killed because of it for years in Southern Illinois. I think maybe it is time to give another contractor a shot.
