Midtown Home Improvements a week agoHello everyone, I’m writing to share my disappointing experience with Midtown Home Improvements and to warn potential customers. Our process began with a salesperson visiting our home. Since I work in sales, I usually listen carefully to pitches. The presentation was great, and we were excited about adding an awning to our uncovered deck to protect us from the elements. We discussed several options, ranging from $25,000 to $50,000. We wanted a solution that would allow us to enjoy the deck in all weather without creating a fully built outdoor room. The salesperson suggested an option with the potential to add screens later for bug protection, which sounded like a good compromise. Despite initial hesitations, we decided to take advantage of a “Buy It Now” discount of 20% off the lowest price and agreed to the purchase. The awning was installed in February 2024, but upon installation, we noticed that it looked simpler than what we expected. There were no pictures in the agreement documents to compare. I reached out to my sales contact to clarify if there had been a mix-up. The salesperson informed me that we had agreed to the Pergola style for maximum savings, but this style did not allow for the addition of screens. This was not what we expected. I expressed my concerns about the simplicity of the structure—a few beams connected by plexiglass—and questioned the high price. The salesperson assured me that management would contact me. A month later, during heavy rain, we noticed that the awning did not prevent water from dripping inside the covered area. This problem could have been avoided if the awning were 2-3 inches longer. I sent videos of the issue to the salesperson, who again promised that management would reach out. It is now July, and I have received no response from either the salesperson or management. I’m not unreasonable; I just want to understand what we paid for versus what was installed. It seems that we could have done this work ourselves for a fraction of the cost. Despite multiple attempts to get answers, I have heard nothing back. So, buyer beware. We are not the type to leave unjust bad reviews. The installers were professional and polite, but beyond them and the salesperson, I’ve heard nothing. This lack of response is unacceptable. As it stands today, I would not recommend Midtown Home Improvements. Make sure to get everything in writing, including pictures, to avoid similar issues.

G&M Remodeling Services LLC 3 months agoWorking with Gabriel was great! Gabriel was pleasant, a great communicator and did exactly what he said he would do when he said that he would it. My floor presentiled some challenges because it was not level but Gabriel put in the work to get it level so that the lvp flooring would look great once installed. Would definitely refer Gabriel and would use G&M Remodeling again.
