I moved in at the end of March 2024. This was my first time doing new construction. The whole process felt rushed and stressful. The house is beautiful but I had issues too. The worst part was when I found out there was no internet in the new development. I never thought this would be a problem since this was an extension on an existing community. I was told by the seller and builder to just call and set up xfinity. However, when I called they quickly canceled my service from my other home because they said they don’t service the area at all and someone (Asburn or builders) had to request permits. The biggest problem was that I & my lawyer got the run around for at least 2 months. There was denial, and no one took responsibility. I had to stay with family or friends and get multiple hot spots to work. The seller knew that I worked from home & fully remote. There were people in the same development fighting for internet at least since Jan, so they knew. After bugging everyone I could, I finally have internet June 24th. Although this wasn’t considered a legal issue, it should be because nowadays people have fully remote jobs and I would’ve been stuck with this house to find out after signing I have to find a new job. My overall opinion is that Asburn could careless. Otherwise, they would’ve warned people so they could make a better decision instead of choosing to lock people into a house with the risk of losing their job. Just unethical. I hope that with this review and unhappy customers they will make better choices in the future.

Ever since we moved into our first house we have been learning how it is to be first time home buyers. The team at Ashburn always try their best to be as flexible and quick as possible to address issues as they come up. When we first moved in Ernie was a complete god send whenever we would just see him around the neighborhood he was always willing to converse with us to address any concerns! We recently had to deal with a water problem within our master bathroom which was getting trapped in the pan and leaking out into the drywall. Jim had initially tried one tactic which didn’t solve the problem. But, he made sure to fix the underlying problem so that the drywall was back to brand new!

I moved in my house in April 2023 and have a one year warranty. I’ve came across a few issues and Jim J. took care of them right away! No house is perfect, and sometimes things go wrong but Jim always gets right on top of the issue for me. He has def went above and beyond for us. Thank you Jim and for truly caring about what you do. It makes a big difference!!

IF you buy an Ashburn Home, PLEASE ensure your inspector looks at everything. The dehumidifier they install in the crawl space is ineffective for the area. Also, they opt for fiberglass insulation rather than foam (surprise, its the cheaper option) which can still gather mold over time. My neighbor and I have both experienced serious mold in the crawl space, costing us both thousands of dollars to remedy. When I first bought my home small things were easy to remedy in the portal, however larger things were constantly ignored until my warranty expired or closed out as “resolved” but were never even acknowledged, much less fixed. Edit: It seems that Ashburn Homes has responded and insinuated that the mold underneath the home was due to my negligence and not their poor choice of equipment for installation, so I’ll repeat once more, ABSOLUTELY terrible company, and please triple check your inspections. Have them fix EVERYTHING at their cost.

I’ve been in my house in Johnsonville for just a year, closed on March 31, 2022. The house is great the workmanship has been good. Jordan Ashburn was great to work with and addressed all of my questions with suggestions on the design. He also stops by the neighborhood often and I admire he is in the field constantly checking on the quality of the work to keep the integrity of the work associated with his name. As with any home there are always a few repairs needed. Most of these have been address rather quickly, sometime the same day. Some when dependence on 3rd party contractors were involved not so timely. I suggest you look into Ashburn homes before going with some of the bigger contractors who are only interested in slapping up houses as fast as they can without the best workmanship and having you house on a postage stamp piece of property,

The house is FILLED will horrible design decisions. From a deck that faces to the side of the house, leaving only LITERALLY 2 feet of clearance between the bottom of the deck stairs and a fence, or a sump pump outlet that directly gets in the way of a fence, and a sump pump horribly installed in a way that it can not be covered without a full reinstallation, just to name a few. Any time you do need anything fixed under warranty, expect to have to follow up several times before anyone even comes to look at the issue, and if they can try to fix it the cheap way instead of the right way, they will. (It took THREE visits just to fix a simple HVAC vent)

Excellent builder all around. Very few complaints with finished home. Any issues are taken care of in a timely fashion. Would recommend.

We bought our house in 2021 brand new hopefully we won’t have deal with fixing stuff. Unfortunately we keep finding issues it was build bad quality material, build in a rush . Right after the 1 year warranty ran out we keep seeing a lot of imperfections.they are just greedy to make big profits they don’t care about the customer
