We went with Roy’s based on the awesome reviews on Houzz and Yelp, but our experience has been really awful. Idan who was very responsive till we signed the architectural contract. Everything went down the hill from there. I had to call for everything – for measurements, for getting some plan proposals. Still nothing moved. I asked for a refund and cacellation and still didn’t get any response. I then left a one star review and then got a response and refund of the money we had paid. Updated my review to 2 stars after the refund. This has pushed our project back by at least 6 months. More detailed timelines on my Yelp review.

Conman would be a compliment. Search photos of “his work” and you will find they are stock images of interiors. He subcontracts all of his jobs to others without confirming the quality of the subs work. Our experience with him was a disaster.

This review targets a specific employee of Roy’s Builders, David Amaral. We met David at the beginning of the execution phase of our project. He was our on-site overall manager of this project. The project came with extensive excavation and heavy equipment, in a small space, with many neighbors. David not only ensured our property was protected, but the neighborhood as well. Comments from neighbors included, “He’s the hardest worker I’ve ever seen, where did you find him?” to “He’s an asset to the neighborhood!” David never became overwhelmed, even with the “big dig” nature of the excavation work, and moved smoothly into his specialty when the foundation was in. He worked well with all the subcontractors, coordinating and moving them along to keep schedule. Throughout the project he kept us informed, offered his professional advice when requested, and pointed us in the right direction many times. David is intuitive and partnered very well with both of us. We grew to really trust him. Several times we would comment that before we made decisions we would consult with David. He comes with much experience, attention to detail, professional, and obviously loves his work and takes a lot of pride in doing it!

Exceptional work by Roy’s builders we hired Roy to have our master bathroom renovated From the first moment we felt good vibes from Roy and decided to go them the timing was great except of a little delay on one of the inspections but other than that super reliable and warm FIVE Stars!
