M.A. Construction and Design, Inc. a year agoHi Mike, we’ve been contacting you many times about several issues that need to be fixed. 1. The beam on the house you installed is not sufficient and causes a structural issue to the house. I had to pay out of pocket for an inspector and then a structural engineer to look at this. If the beam is not fixed, the other two stories can collapse God forbid affecting safety of our family. I’ve sent you the report from structural engineer stating which type of beam needs to be used. 2. The two roofs and extensions were not sealed or installed correctly causing enormous water damage. The metal needs to be placed underneath the stucco in order for water not to seep into the house. This is standard practice and the general contractor should have checked this work before collecting payment. There is also no overhang on the roof which causes water intrusion into the stucco. The roofs need to be redone and drywall and baseboards replaced where there was water damage. I’ve been contacting you since Jan 2023 and it’s almost June 2023. When you have come over you specifically said for not anyone to touch your work. However you keep denying responsibility when it’s been clear the water damage (after hiring another inspector and contractor out of pocket) has been the result of your work. Therefore I’m stuck in a bind where I cannot move forward with fixing my house and will have to proceed with legal action.
