Ordered a set of house windows through the Home Depot and CAT Renovations was the company they chose to sub contract through. I ordered a set of Simonton 6200 series laminated security and sound windows. These were not the most expensive but at an installed cost of $6,800 for 8 windows they were pricy. This is a family run business and I really hate leaving bad reviews for local companies. The crew of 3 was super friendly and did an excellent job of cleaning up. The main problem I think is the job was more complex than they thought, and this is a heavy window for one guy to handle. So there was a lot of damage to drywall and the window tiles in the master bath. Some damage I can understand but the extent of this install was a little too much. This is not my first window install or home renovation. I wish they would have cut the dry wall back an inch or two because the window sits so far on the ledge I think there will be problems in the future because of weight. By the time I saw the install it was too late the windows were already in and being sealed. Lastly, the caulking is separating on the interior and they did not cover the screw holes with the provided plugs. I have been trying to call daily for the last 2 weeks and no one answers, the phone just rings. I will definately update my review if they can fix a few issues for me. UPDATE……they called me January 8th and we set up a repair date for January 20th. Low and behold they never showed up. Luckily it was my scheduled day off and I was already working at this location. I did get a call back on January 30th apalogising for the oversight. We arranged to have the replacement parts left in the mailbox. I corrected the other repairs myself; super disappointed in both Home Depot and Cat Renovations. This is a case of the lowest bidder leaving me hanging.
