We had a terrible experience with Demar. We hired them to replace our shower works, which had been dripping badly. One of their workmen reeked of pot. When they were finished they told us they had installed a “top of the line” Delta Monitor brand shower works, but it started dripping 5 months later again and soon was worse than before. Three attempts to contact them met with no reply. So our super hired a different plumber, who told us that Demar had in fact installed a phony knock off brand instead of a true Delta, and to make things worse it had a damaged cartridge in it. We live in an 80+ unit coop building and our super/building management will never use them again, despite having used them for years. Oh well! Honesty pays.

Company parks their COMPANY trucks (illegally overnight) outside school/church every night (partially on sidewalk) with no concern for kids/parishioners safety. Commercial parking ILLEGAL OVERNIGHT!!! If this is their moral standard, go anywhere else if you want quality of life!!!

Expensive but worth it. We’ve relied on Demar over the years for a range of jobs. Water booster pumps, radiator issues, vent pipe leaks, you name it. We keep going back to Demar because the quality of work is high, they’re reliable and easy to deal with. Special shout out to Fabian who has worked on our most troublesome issues with a phenomenal attitude and top tier problem solving.

Avoid them if you can! I asked them to come view a heating pipe that caused cracks in my ceiling. They came into my apartment and looked at it for 5 minutes and then told me I needed a contractor, not a plumber. I then got a bill for $298 for those 5 minutes!

GET A QUOTE FIRST. We used Demar Plumbing to replace a radiator value in my apartment. They came recommended by my super as they do work for other units in our building. I stupidly didn’t even shop around for a quote since my super is a great guy. While they were quick to come service and the technician sent was great, the total charge for the replacement (which took no more than 90 minutes) was over $700. 500 for labor and something like 250 for the part. Please learn from my mistake.

I’m in property management and have been using Demar for a little over 4 years. I find them to be very responsive at all times of the day, night, weekend and even on Christmas Day. Plumbers get a bad rap for what they charge for their services, yet I find Demar to be amongst some of the lowest for plumbers in the city and they always do the job right the first time.

Awful Practical thievery Come to apartment, basically do nothing, charge you for it. Try to upsell expensive replacement services that you don’t need. Literally call anyone else.
