When our disposal broke the day before we were leaving for vacation, we asked around and Tim Whistler Plumbing was recommended to us by a friend. We scheduled our appointment while we were overseas and they were very flexible and accommodating. The plumber, Mike, was super knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They charged me $590+ to unclog two sinks. They were there for about an hour and that included additional work so the sink unclogging took less than an hour. $590. To unclog two sinks.

Last year, I purchased an outdoor spigot from this company, and unfortunately, it stopped functioning properly within a year. I carefully followed all their winterization instructions, yet when the spigot failed, they refused to honor the warranty. Their reason was that I supposedly didn’t do enough to protect the unit during winter, which is completely unjust since I followed their guidance to the letter. To add insult to injury, they charged me $135 for a service visit where all they did was tell me that the spigot wasn’t covered under warranty. No attempt to fix it, no solutions offered—just a hefty bill and a blame on me. This is unacceptable customer service and quite frankly, it feels like a rip-off. I highly recommend looking for a plumbing company that values integrity and customer satisfaction instead of blaming customers for their faulty products. Avoid this company to save yourself the headache.

Needed to replace a 30 year old gas water heater. Searched for local companies with high satisfaction reviews and came across Tim Whistler Plumbing (TWP) among others. I am glad I did. First there was no charge for an in person estimate which is important in an older home to learn what needs to be done to meet current code and avoid on the job add-ons. Estimator (Chris) was very knowledgeable, pleasant and polite. Answered all my questions, offered advice about how best to proceed and described the work needed. No high pressure to make a decision on the spot and one follow up from the company to ascertain our intentions. After a few more live and over the phone quotes we decided to go with TMP and very glad we did. Crew (Chris and brother Remi) arrived on time and began the install. It was obvious they were very experienced but also polite and professional. They did great work, prep and clean up, including some custom ductwork changes needed to bring up to code. Passed inspection with no problem and the inspector mentioned he was impressed with the work the next day. I would highly recommend this company based on this experience.

They do good work but the price is very high –$750 for a faucet installation!!! (The diagnosis was $125 which was to be credited to the installation and the installation was an additional $625.) A Google search for average cost says “The cost to install a kitchen faucet ranges between $161 and $364 based on type, material, features, and other factors. Most homeowners will pay about $261.”
