Urbatect Development, LLC 5 days agoI wish I can select Zero Star. I got into a contract with Urbatect on 04/20/2021 for the pre-construction phase, it has been 3+ years while the contract stated 3 months, and haven’t gotten the building permit yet. At the end of this horrifying process, I discovered that they were not licensed Architect in California when the county asked them to stamp the Architectural drawings, they couldn’t even have a Zoom meeting with the county building examiner to go over incorrect items, missing details, item needs clarifications or discussing other options! They only work through emails so they can search answers. Now I’m left with over $150k in expenses and no permit! Please note that the contract stated that the contractor is responsible for obtaining the permit however I have been running back and forth between the county building officials and the contractor for the past year and a half trying to expedite the process otherwise it would probably take over 5 years to get to where we are now. Thank you

I didn’t think that honest, trustworthy, dependable contractors existed until I had the privilege to work with Steve and Jacob. I honestly can’t sing their praises enough and I wish that everyone I worked with was as competent as they are. – Not only did they finish our remodel ON TIME, but it cost what they had originally quoted us. No hidden or surprise fees! – They are so easy to reach when you have a question. They have amazing communication skills. I wish people I worked with at my company answered emails as thoroughly and quickly as they did. They also sent daily photo updates so I could see the progress. – They don’t give up. The curtains I purchased were too heavy for the curtain rods. Steve and Jacob spent hours figuring out how to strengthen the rods to hang my curtains just right. They don’t cut corners. – They went the extra mile and accepted my washer and dryer delivery for me – Steve and Jacob do beautiful, high quality work! They are extremely detail-oriented and did everything we asked for and more. – They cleaned up after themselves and our place looked move-in ready. They even folded the toilet paper into a V before leaving and made us handmade coasters as gifts. – Oh, and bonus, they are patient, kind, and funny! I hope I’ve convinced you because Steve and Jacob are amazing people, contractors, and professionals. You won’t regret working with them.
