My evaporative cooler was malfunctioning and my cistern ran dry. Refilled the cistern but the water wouldn’t pump into the house. A little internet sleuthing suggested the pressure regulator needed to be reset. I called E&S, explained my problem and potential solution.Told them the pressure gauge still read 80 psi with the pump unplugged. They sent a guy out same day, that was good. The guy they sent didn’t know about cisterns or evaporative coolers. Heard him talking on the phone getting advice on how to reset the regulator. Spent a bit of time playing with the pressure gauge. Ascertained it was broken. Didn’t replace it because of course he didn’t have one. Told me “next time you call someone out, tell them to bring a gauge”. Seriously! Then I was charged $150 for 48 minutes of him being at my home. Then, I kid you not $25 for gas! Funny, my employer never rounded my pay up to the nearest hour, nor did they pay me for gas. So essentially $175 to show up regardless of their skill level. It’s sad actually, because they were once an honest, decent service provider that I trusted. 😐

The gentleman who I spoke with in their office hung up on me twice after I asked him about them charging me $450 an hour for the simple clearing of the line their plumber did. I will not be using E&S plumbing again. There are plenty of other experienced and well qualified plumbers in town who can get the job done well who don’t treat their customers so rudely and poorly. Use them at your own peril of being treated bad. Not good business practice!

I would never recommend E&S, after using the company twice (once in 2019, once in 2022). I was highly disappointed each time. The work they did was poor quality, they wanted to charge us significantly more to have our water main in the wall where it was when they began work to repair it (violation of code now being out of the wall?), and they don’t stand by their claimed warranty. I’ve used E&S twice. First, the water main coming into our house (was entirely within wall) began leaking. We hired E&S to replace the pipe within our concrete foundation (where the leak occurred). They removed concrete around the pipe to access the issue, replaced the pipe, and filled the hole with concrete. However, when they replaced the pipe, it was not positioned to be within the wall anymore, and now our water main is literally outside of our wall inside our home, and I wasn’t even able to remove material from the back of a baseboard to hide it. When we told E&S about the issue right after they finished, we were told that it would cost hundreds more to re-do the whole thing for it to be inside the wall as it was originally. I don’t think this is up to code and is highly unprofessional. The pipe is 1.25 inches outside of the wall at the farthest point Second, an exterior hose bibb was leaking. Given our first issue with E&S I don’t know why I hired them again, but here we are. For this issue, they said they only replace the whole hose bibb and don’t do small repairs on one. It was a leaky stem and I’d tried to fix it on my own already without success. We agreed on the cost and the new hose bibb leaked from the start. We were told E&S’ work had a 1yr warranty when this was replaced. Because it was leaking before the worker left, it was fixed temporarily but started leaking at the stem again within days of the fix (not freeze related, this was mid summer 2022). Due to the fire/floods in 2022 we didn’t garden as intended, so I put off calling for warranty repair due to not needing the hose bibb immediately for anything (no issue due to the 1yr warranty we were told about). I called April 2023 and was told that hose bibbs in Flagstaff don’t have a 1yr warranty despite what we were told when it was replaced, and I was told that we would have had to reach out within “a few days or a week or so later” after the work was done due to Flagstaff having harsh winters and because people leave hoses in. I have video of it leaking during summer 2022 shortly after the work was done, but no luck with E&S.

Awesome company and great plumbers. Highly recommend. Came out next day and fixed the issue ASAP. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Called them out to snake my drain, they cleared the roots for a great price. Both plumbers were nice and respectful. My go to plumbers!

We had them do some previous work and their Flagstaff, AZ website stated 24/7 emergency service. We call and left messages 4 times on Saturday morning for emergency service on a water leak is the same area they had previously repaired. We did not receive any communication from them on Saturday and had to call another service. We got a call on TUESDAY afternoon saying they got our message and did we need service. They also told us that their emergency 24/7 service was if they had someone of call! No apology or other explanation. Doesn’t 24/7 emergency service mean you have someone on call 24/7, not 3 days later?!? We got great and immediate service from Assurance Plumbing. Don’t take a chance on E&S, call a company that will respond to your emergency..

And that’s Plumbing is awesome! They showed up when they said! They didn’t give me a huge window where I had to sit and wait! It was a very small 2-hour window and they were there in the very first minute! They are very professional and very clean on the job even though the job was messed up from being flooded. Shane is very on the ball! Will be using them on our other properties business and personal. Thanks guys

I had a water main break and due to the urgency of the situation, E&S was able to get my repair scheduled and completed very quickly. Everyone at this company was very knowledgeable, honest and professional to work with. They will absolutely be my first choice for my next plumbing needs.
