I called on a Tuesday morning when I noticed evidence of carpenter ants and by the afternoon Tim Nyman was at my house doing an inspection. I bought this 150 year old house 5 months ago and in addition to the carpenter ants, I know that I have mice (lots of droppings and my indoor cat has caught a handful of them), post beetles (noted on my presale home inspection), and squirrels (as evidenced by all the walnuts in the attic) The work is scheduled for Thursday. So happy to have it all taken care of quickly so I can move on with other projects. Highly recommend.

On June 27, 2024 a TERMINIX Inspector (Barry) came to my house to inspect for POSSIBLE Termites. I was in the process of having my TREX deck torn apart due to the Pressure Treated Wood rotting. One of the four men tearing the deck apart noticed a small, white grub-like insect. He snapped a picture of it and suggested I call a Pest Control company to inspect the area. I called TERMINIX and another company to get two estimates. The TERMINEX Inspector arrived first and looked at the rotted wood and said he was POSITIVE THE DAMAGE WAS DONE BY TERMITES but did not see any. His quote was $1347.43 for TERMITE CONTROL and $1802 for a DEHUMIDIFIER (Total $3149.43). HE WAS ALSO NICE ENOUGH TO GET THIS JOB STARTED THE NEXT MORNING. My second estimate from another PEST CONTROL COMPANY WAS LESS EXPENSIVE. This Inspector saw NO EVIDENCE OF TERMITES in the wood. He informed me the wood was ROTTED and not damaged by TERMITES. He asked to see the photo that was taken by the Deck Contractor and informed me it is CARPENTER ANT LARVAE.

I have been with Terminix since 2015 and always liked the service provided me by Rick and gave them a 5 Star rating. Yesterday I canceled my service. On the afternoon of Friday 6/7, I signed a contract ($1200.00) for Terminix to remove a raccoon we had spotted hiding under my shed. No one could come out until the following Monday. The trap was set up behind my shed and not where the raccoon was coming and going. I was told that the location would be fine. Apparently it was not. It was never caught. Also, unbeknownst to me and apparently their phone operator (who scheduled someone for Saturday from 8 to 10, with a no show) Terminix does not come out on weekends. I guess I should have read all 12 pages of the document. I was not aware that raccoons needed to be caught in a trap being serviced Monday thru Friday, only. So If you need a critter removed I would not recommend this company.

A building contractor had discovered large black ants when installing a new sliding door in my home in 2012. He remedied the problem. Extinguishing the ants. And replacing all and any part of the area damaged. He soon thereafter, recommended Terminix for future quarterly service. I have retained their services ever since.
