I saw what I thought was a bedbug and freaked out! Do I call a big corporation to do the job or do I contact someone that owns a small business? Orkin, who received an A+ from the BBB and great reviews from Forbes had terrible reviews from customers in recent months. I became skeptical and thought how big corporations have the means to market themselves and seek out their personal interests. That is when I began to look at small businesses and found an article in the NYT about Scott Palatnik. He is sent from the heavens! I am so grateful for his integrity, compassion, patience, professionalism and kindness. The bug I had was not a bedbug. Because I was anxious and vulnerable, he could’ve easily taken advantage of me but he did not. He was honest. To assure me, Scott throughly checked my apartment himself and then brought in his adorable and friendly well-trained dog, Hunter, to make sure he was correct that there were no bed bugs in my apartment. I am so grateful for Scott. He is an amazing human being! And wishing him the best!!

Scott and his K9 Hunter were great! Scott is incredibly knowledgable (NY Times calls him The Bedbug Hunter). Scott started with a thorough inspection of the furniture and bedrooms and explained the signs to look for. On top of that Scott took time out of his busy schedule during 4th of July week when many were not available. Hunter was super focused from the moment he got inside my apartment. He searched and sniffed everywhere. Super obedient and focused! Such a good boy and cute! All in all – I could not have gotten a better inspector who put my mind at ease that I was bug-free. If you are worried about bedbugs – definitely give Scott a call! You’ll be glad you did!

I would recommend Long Island bedbug inspections to everyone and anyone! Bedbugs are frustrating to deal with, but Scott was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Scott was efficient, kind, and was always on hand to answer any and all of our questions. He truly helped us feel confident that we were managing the situation correctly and provided us with the right treatments and guidance to ensure the situation was completely resolved. He helped make the entire process as painless as possible, and we were very impressed by his thoroughness and expertise. It was, by far, the best experience we have had with any bed bug or pest control provider in the New York Area.

Scott and his dog Hunter were truly live savers when we had to evacuate our home due to bed bugs. They helped us inspect homes in Manhattan, the Hamptons, and Long Island. Scott was the first exterminator to clearly explain to us what was happening and how treatments worked so we could decide on the right course of action. His inspections were thorough and he always responded promptly and came immediately (pending availability). His pricing was also much more reasonable than what we were quoted in some of these areas. I can’t recommend Scott highly enough!

Scott was, is, has been the best all along. We were exposed to bedbugs while on a family vacation overseas and I was in a panic to be sure we didn’t bring them back with us. He spoke with me extensively on the phone and pretty much even talked me out of needing his help! But I couldn’t put the worry to rest (much to the chagrin my patient husband) and so in a few weeks I asked him to come out and give us the once over. He brought trusty Hunter with him and now I’m feeling all the more at ease. Scott is very kind, very fair and I sincerely feel that his mission – beyond treating for pest issues – is to help educate people and get rid of the unnecessary panic. As a New Yorker, I’ve come into contact with many a pest control specialist but never have I met one who seemed to prioritize their customer’s mental health! It sounds funny but I am serious. He’s a gem. I’m grateful to say neither Scott nor Hunter found evidence of anything – but I also rest easy knowing that if anything did ever turn up, I know exactly what to do and who to call. Thank you so much, Scott!!!!

I reached out to Scott because I needed a second opinion. Scott is super knowledgeable and has been in the business for a long time. He performed a very thorough visual inspection first before bringing in the dog. All throughout he explained exactly where to look for and how to get rid of bedbugs in the future if found. In the end, there were no bed bugs. With so much false information and opinions on the internet it was very helpful to talk to Scott on the phone and to have him over at the apartment in person. I highly recommend his services.

Thank you Scott for responding so quickly. You are truly a professional. I appreciate the time you spent on the phone and reviewing what I thought was a bed bug.
