**DO NOT USE** !! Pratt & D’Angelo Painting is completely unprofessional. Long, expensive, painful story… On virtually every painted surface P&D did not paint, there were greasy hand prints plastered all over. Owner’s (Ralph) comment, “My guys are used to working where there are $100k Persian rugs. It is assumed that in an empty house everything will be painted so they do not worry about handprints they make on all the walls. ” Further, when the many other significant issues of their poor work were brought to the business owners attention, the owner repeated over and again, “There’s no such thing such as a perfect paint job.” The owner did reluctantly agree that one room had been irreparably stained by his workers greasy hands on every wall, and he offered to repaint that room for free. Paint it they did. They painted everything, the stained wood door trim (as in outrageous lines, no taping), anything near the wall (not supposed to be painted), including the ceiling edges that had been white, paneling edges, etc. P&D had also been contracted to paint the entire garage including the cement floor. They painted the uncleaned CEMENT GARAGE FLOOR with LATEX PAINT!! Of course, that peeled up almost immediately, which then had to be sandblasted and repainted with an epoxy paint (as is customary) by a reputable vendor weeks later. Moreover, no paint was left behind for touch-ups as specified in the contract (unused paint was to be retained by the homeowner), and the paint purchased from the Benjamin Moore for Benjamin Moore specified colors and paint does not even remotely match what they had painted. Most importantly and incredibly…, after the P&D repainting of a basement room, there was a growing, horrible smell in the basement. The source of the smell was later found to be a Pratt & D’Angelo WORKER(s) HAD URINATED ON THE ALARM SYSTEM control panel in the basement (see image). P & D’s workers had been the only ones in the house as it was otherwise locked awaiting move-in. TRUE STORY with WITNESSES.
