To be honest I never leave reviews, but in this case I didn’t have a choice. Our project consisted of a new commercial roof and façade. This project turned out to be a can of worms with difficulty’s at every turn. When considering a contractor Superior Renovation came recommended. When issues arose, they offered only solution’s not excuses. They were extremely professional, timely, and always made communication a priority. Lastly when considering a contractor, trust me certain contractors are Superior than the rest.

We used them because we like to support small and local businesses. For the most part they did a good job, but when the job was finished, we were told that we had to pay an additional $1500 above the original quote. Within 6 months the front steps were crumbling and they would not return my repeated calls. Obviously, they just take the money and run. I would not recommend them and I wouldn’t use them again.

We went with Elite Renovations after they did some work for one of our neighbors. We wanted to replace two wood decks (one large, one small) with stamped concrete patios. Final product looks good, but the process to get to that point was a bit arduous. What we liked: We chose Elite based on the quoted price. They were by far the lowest priced quote we received and it included the breakdown/disposal of the old wood decks, which was a huge perk to their service. Their work team cleared off the heavier items off our deck for us prior to the breakdown. The surface of the patios look good and so far are holding up well. They were more than willing to share industry-standard recommendations for sealants and other maintenance post-install. What we didn’t like: Communication while the work was ongoing was problematic. I understand and respect residential concrete businesses are backed up due to demand and weather, but there were several situations where text messages would go unanswered until I also included one of the company owners on the conversation. There was also an incident where our primary rep lost his phone and forgot our house was on their work list. The work crew spilled concrete on our front lawn and left it to dry. I reached out for advice to clean it up and I never received a response. The employee handling their work crews and scheduling was also their main sales rep. Most conversations I had with him involved him attempting to sell us more of their services. While the surface of the patios look good, the edges are sloppy. Cement spilled under the wooden borders during the pour and left it to dry. They told us to cover it up with plants or soil. The time between the quote to the last step of the work was 1.5 months and there were several instances where I needed to send a message to ask when the next time they were going to be out to our house to complete the next step. In the end, the patio looks good (as long as you don’t look too closely at the edges) and is leaps and bounds better than the rotting wooden deck it replaced. However, if we had to do it again, we would have saved up more money and went with another company. You get what you paid for.

I sat down with Bill and Eric who came up with a perfect design… The work began on schedule and the team was very professional and skilled… My kitchen is AMAZING! A wall was opened up and done to perfection. My cabinets are high quality with all the extras… You won’t go wrong choosing these guys.
