Doug and his son, John, and also Calvin, another college student, painted the exterior trim of our brick home. We are absolutely delighted with the results. We had a few rainy days in the process and they were excellent about communicating their resulting schedule. Even with the rainy days, they finished with two coats on the trim, doors, garage door, windows and storm windows in just over a week. And they washed all the windows before putting them back on! Doug was also very clear about drying time for windows and doors so that they won’t stick in the future. All of this for a very reasonable price. We highly recommend Doug and plan to use him for future interior painting projects.

Having purchased a large house in the Ann Arbor area with an interior that hadn’t been painted in over 25 years, we set our hopes on finding an experienced and capable painter. Lang’s Painting answered our inquiry and, it turned out, our prayers, too. What a godsend! Doug Lang has been painting houses for over three decades and he is a master at it. He also refinishes wood floors and we’re sure that ours now looks better than new! Doug and his staff are committed to the details. The amount of prep work before painting can be significant but it does matter and it does affect how your walls will look after the second coat of paint. Since we were moving from out of town, Doug kept up steady communication by emailing photos of work in progress. Doug Lang is personable and easy to do business with and he and his staff are honest, professional, punctual, and very hard working. Doug is a very caring and committed individual. A few rooms in the house haven’t been repainted yet because they’re in need of remodeling. But when they do need painting, we will hire Lang’s Painting.

BEST IN THE AREA! We had a terrible experience w a previous contractor installing wallpaper in our kitchen. Doug came in and uninstalled the wallpaper, fixed the wall and installed the new wallpaper to perfection. He was very communicative and accommodating to our daily schedule (napping 1 year old in the house). The final product is flawless. He was fair and honest and we could not give a more positive review.

Lang’s Painting has professional, respectful and communicative leadership and staff. I am a repeat customer and have always valued their advice as someone who needs help choosing colors and paint finishes. The business has very strict COVID-19 protocols and provides advance notice of work hours and tasks. Lastly, the company has always been able to provide advice on eco friendly options. Doug Lang did a wonderful job painting the interior of my house. He responded super fast to my inquiry, helped choose a paint color, and did an expert job, at a fair price, on an excellent timeline. Lang’s Painting came prepared to work and did an outstanding job on fixing some drywall problems as well as painting the whole interior of my home beautifully. They didn’t make a big mess on the floor for me to clean up, either. I would recommend them to anyone. Not my cheapest bid, but worth the extra in value to me.

I have used Lang’s painting several times and the best thing about this company is that you know the job will be done perfectly and professionally. I made the mistake of going with a less expensive company once and regretted the decision. I would have paid more with Lang’s painting and had fewer headaches from constantly telling the lower cost vendor to redo several areas. In summary, you get what you pay for and with Lang’s painting they do a great job. Even from someone who tends to drive companies nuts with my complaints, I can never find anything but praise to offer Lang’s painting. One of the best companies I have ever dealt with. Eric K. I had a great experience with this company. The workers here worked really hard to prepare my house to ensure a good paint job. I was blown away by the meticulous steps the painting crew took to prep my house– taping, sanding, filling holes, washing things down, who knew there were so many steps in painting a room? After hiring Lang’s Painting, I could definitely tell the difference between a professional paint job and the one I did myself in my college room. You get what you pay for when it comes to home improvement, and I am happy with my results.
