Peter has been painting for us for more than 30 years. We have been completely satisfied with each job he has done. He and his crew are conscientious, hard working and professional, He painted our Victorian twice and now paints the trim on our brick bungalow. He helped us pick colors. He is very knowledgeable about how painted ladies should look. About a year after painting our trim, he stopped by and touched up the trim. No cost! If he isn’t satisfied with the work of his crew, he makes sure that it is corrected. When ice damns damaged our ceiling and molding his crew reconstructed plaster molding. Peter and the people he hires are the best!

Peter and his crew were fantastic. We had the trim painted on the house and a ton of carpentry repairs around the eaves. Very, very thorough prep work. Very neat—full cleanup at the end of every day. They were also very responsive and did more than they had agreed to, as we kept finding new areas that needed touch ups. Thomas Restoration came in about 20% cheaper than the other Oak Park premium painter (Ronbo). We tried to get a proposal from another “Oak Park” firm (which is actually just an Oak Park mail drop) and they never even came back with a proposal. Twelve years ago, we had the house painted and went cheap and regretted it. We definitely got our moneys worth with Thomas Restoration. Highly recommend.

Pete Thomas and his crew are excellent, high quality and very professional. We are repeat customers, have been using their services for over 20 years. Exterior painting and interiors! They show up on time, handle furniture moving, clean up with precision and put everything back in place. Hire them!

Amazing team! Hard working with great attention to detail. Provided many samples to determine best color. Completed stucco repair and painting along with window frame paint/color matching. Excellent job. I HIGHLY recommend.

We used Thomas to paint our 135-year-old Oak Park home, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. You may get less expensive quotes, but ultimately you get what you pay for — especially with exterior paint. Pete’s team took our home from a drab light yellow color to a beautiful, bold gray. They were on time every day, respectful in every way and just all around great to work with. We especially enjoyed Omar, who was on-site daily and always keeping us updated about what was going on. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough. You’ll see their signs all over the area on some of the most gorgeous homes. It’s no surprise as they are the best in the game.

Thomas Restoration painted the exterior of my large old (1896) OP home (& garage) last spring 2022, and I have nothing but good things to say about the experience, the work quality and the team. They came highly recommended by my longtime handyman who had seen TR paint many OP homes. My own experience is that they did quality work, which included carpentry repair – took pride in their work, were conscientious about daily clean-up. Reasonably priced (expensive, to be sure! but reasonably priced) and good people to work with and have around the house for several weeks! Pete Thomas and crew chief Francisco were my points of contact. My house was their first project of the spring season, which may have helped move things along so quickly. Once completed, there were a few details they needed to come back to – which they couldn’t attend to til later in the summer. (Not a problem for me.)

Peter Thomas’ team is professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They know Oak Park homes well. We hired them to paint both the exterior and interior of our home within a six-month span. Great job! A special shout-out to Wojciech, who is pleasant, conscientious and cares about the work’s outcome. I highly recommend them.

My 110 year old stucco house has never looked better. The old paint was scraped down to the wood, the stucco repaired, and repairs done where needed. It looks absolutely beautiful. Wojciech and Manny were always professional and accommodating. They paid special attention to details and were extremely easy to work with. They put in very long hours and were always friendly and poised to make the house look as perfect as possible. I have tremendous respect for their craftsmanship and artistry. Painting a large 110 year old house is not an easy task but these two were definitely up for the job. Pat Staszak
