Jim just finished the exterior of my house. He painted and smeared caulk everywhere over bare wet wood on a rainy days instead of replace rotten wood or patch as discussed. In a couple areas they used filler/patch but didn’t sand…just painted right over it. They also mixed wet caulk and paint in order to patch and trim the windows. We have used Extra Mile long before Jim was involved, over 10 plus years . We’ve spent over $25,000.00 on 5 different jobs with no problems. When we had a conversation over it, Jim told me that he’s not good at it , and don’t even have tools to work on windows or trim. Although his contract and emails state that this is all included. Jim may seem like a very nice guy. But buyer beware!

Jim has a heart for people and his guys are awesome too. They came to our rescue recently when we needed a rush job done and were so incredibly helpful. I can’t say enough about the integrity of the company and the quality of the work. Wish I could give another five stars…..

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Extra Mile. The price was where we needed it to be to paint the exterior trim of our home, and they were very professional. The entire crew was great and our house looks fantastic. They even painted our gutters and drains. We are already getting more quotes from them to paint our interior as well!!

An update to my previous 2-star review – Jim, the new owner, reached out and fulfilled Joe’s commitments while also helping me with a small closet. He brought Arturo who did a great job, while also coaching me on various ways to save money or improve the retail value of my home. I’m officially a fan again, as Jim & crew went the extra mile. From what I can tell, the business has taken a turn for the best under Jim’s direction. To help Jim keep going with his new business and give him a fair start, I’ve updated to the full 5 stars. Previous review below: Although Joe seemed to be well prepared and ready to do business during the estimation process, Joe sub-contracted the work and also purchased the wrong paint. Although I tried to negotiate and aggressively get Joe to agree to the issues (which he had spent much effort trying to fix already), he didn’t budge on giving money back. In the end and because we had many contractors planned to work in the days following the painting effort, I ended up spending 8-12 hours fixing, re-painting, and otherwise correcting the poor quality of service. Despite the breach in contract and the paint damage on the carpet, I did not file a claim against his insurance because the whole experience was too stressful. I hope that others see this review, and make the right choice, else you will be going the extra mile to fix the poor quality job.

I had Extra Mile Painting stain my deck two years ago and liked their service enough to have them come and paint my exterior. They recently finished and I am so pleased. Joe was prompt with contacting me when the project would start, as he had to push it back a few days because of the extremely rainy weather we had experienced. His crew was courteous, professional and did a wonderful job! Joe was on site every day. They went out of their way to do little “extras” which I appreciated. I would highly recommend this company!
