I’ve developed/constructed a little more than 2,500 apartments across the southeast over the last 10 years. Not only has American Standard Paint delivered quality apartment units for our firm in the Tampa Bay area, but also in my personal home. Matt and team have been a pleasure to work with personally and professionally, and look forward to future opportunities together.

I am upset I have to write a review like this as I see many positive reviews listed by previous homeowners. However, that was not our experience. Our HVAC system went out when Matt’s crew was working on our property. I was informed by a painter 2 days after it went out when I randomly showed up to check on the progress. Why were we not informed the day it happened? Matt was unable to provide any insight as to what may have caused our HVAC system to go out, not because he didn’t know but because he did not answer our phone calls or return our voicemails. During the initial walkthrough, I specifically asked if the areas behind our kitchen appliances would be painted to which I was assured everything would be taken care of. As you can see from the attached pictures, that was not the case. During the final walkthrough, I communicated several areas of concern that were not textured or painted to completion. Matt stated it was a “long drive” for his crew to come back to South Tampa again. There was a lack of communication regarding expectations of payment. Matt asked for payment in full prior to completion of services. He also informed me that as of last week, American Standard Painting no longer accepts credit cards and that he expected to be paid in full today, with cash or check. We were never informed of this new change. Matt blamed us for the lack of communication, stating we should have let him know how we planned to pay ahead of time. In summary, we will not be recommending American Standard Painting to our friends or family and will not be utilizing their services in the future. If you are looking for quality service and a business who values communication skills, American Standard Painting is not for you.

They subcontract the paint jobs out. David from American Standard was supposed to come back to fix ( repaint + sheetrock) front foyer in August 2022. He never came back. The subcontractor did a good job. But the job was never completed.

Best experience ever with a painting company. Matt said the job would take 5-6 days but instead they sent extra man power and got the job done in 3 days. Very professional painters and professional office staff. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family !!!!

Terrible work ethic and quality. Matt was a nightmare to work with. Save your time the stress and money and use a different company.

Unskilled painters. Poor workmanship. Matt did not look at work in person, to see what was being done, instead relied on pictures sent to him. I asked to paint turquoise wall white but can see turquoise through the white on large walls such as living room. . Many corners and closet corners left turquoise after the second walk through. I paid just to get rid of him! Would never recommend this company to anyone.

Matt’s crew arrived early each day and completed the job in two days with very short notice. They painted my two bedrooms and two bathrooms, my kitchen, dining room, living room, sunroom, closets, trim, and doors. They did exactly what we spoke about and a little more. Matt even helped me with a housekeeper to clean my home. Thank you so much for the amazing job. Highly recommend this company. Used them in 2017 for a few interior rooms and was so pleased that we asked that they bid on this job. From Matt the salesman who explained everything in detail to the outside crew Vlad, Vin and Mike and the crew that painted the kitchen, Jeff and Alex. Jeff and Alex were very careful and did an awesome job in the kitchen. The outside crew though, Mike worked very hard and did an amazing job of covering everything up from door knobs to dead bolts to outside light fixtures and they also covered all the windows. There were issues that came up due to another contractor that had installed windows and Matt’s crew was very understanding about giving the time to have the other company come back and fix their problems. The price was more than reasonable and the work outstanding. Will use them again and highly recommend them to anyone with a painting project.

This company truly knows what they are doing. They use only the best paint and their quality is impeccable. I was pleasantly surprised with their price as well. They were very competitive and did more than I expected. They cleaned up after themselves and were in and out quickly. I hired them to paint a rental property. Would recommend to all my friends. A++ service.
