I was researching painters, contacted this company. In my contact I made a comment about their advertising and I was attacked by the Owner (wife) and their web guy that was doing their advertising. Reveals a lot about who they are as people. Terrible behavior.

Blue Parrot Painting has painted both interior and exterior for us. They proved to be top notch painters, with attention to detail, clean lines, and no messes left behind. I have asked them to paint a few extra places and they were happy to do so at no charge. I always know I will receive a professional paint job with them!

We just bought a new house! We had 4 companies come out and give us bids for painting top to bottom and relacquering doors, molding and kitchen cabinets. From the beginning Tim’s professional manner sold me and I felt confidant, comfortable and secure in my choice in Blue Parrot Painting. They showed up Monday morning and finished Friday. They exceeded my expectations 10x over. I’ve never seen so much care in taping, lacquering, sanding, touch up, etc. Tim certainly didn’t mind a few last minute changes and add-ons either. As a small business owner there is no doubt that Tim and Blue Parrot Painting will be my only recommendation. Thank you so much!!

Beware of bait and switch with daily deals. I purchased a daily deal special to paint a room for $100. The first thing that they did was measure the room and try to add $70 to the $100 I already paid even thought the total square footage to be painted was 208 sq. ft. less than the deal allowance. I told them this was not fair and they walked of the job. We had purchased $80 in paint and cleaned the room and they just left. Avoid this company. *************** Update: Blue Parrot’s response below is not honest. 1. The total wall square footage was actually nearly 20% less than the deal allows. This was a bedroom, not a bathroom or kitchen as insinuated. 2. I was not abusive but unhappy when Blue Parrot attempted to charge $70 extra because one wall was a bit larger than the deal stated. How it will take two hours extra to paint a room is one foot longer is ridiculous. Their two hour comment goes to show their level of honesty. I have left a careful and accurate review to warn others about the bait and switch. 3. You did not start the work other than carry a tarp and stepstool inside. You were here less than 10 minutes. The first thing you did was to measure the room and insist on $70 extra. 4. The room is actually smaller than I first suggested. Just double checked the room size: 11’4” x 13’6” x 7’7” tall. Tim stood with me and held the tape measure. 5. Yes, I agree to pay the extra charge because of your bait and switch left me trapped. The plan works well. We had spent a lot of time cleaning the room and removing pictures from the wall. Set time aside to be home. Plus we had spent $80 on paint. We were stuck. You were not “happy to have a discussion.” It was a take it or leave it. 6. Therefore if the consumer wants to believe that you can honestly say it will take two hours more to paint a room that is 11’ x 14’ x 8’ than a room that is 12’ x 12’ x 10’, I am not sure what to say. 7. The $100 deal price seemed like it was too good to be true and it was. Considering Blue Parrot will receive probably $50 of the paid $100 to the daily deal site, in retrospect, their bait and switch makes perfect sense. Get in the customer’s house insist on extra money or walk off the job.
