We have a honey locust tree in our front yard. It was droopy, lacked leaves and looked as though it was dying. Steve inspected the tree, found bugs and recommended a spraying schedule. He warned me that we might not see improvement this year. He was wrong! Our tree looks wonderful. Service was provided in a timely fashion. So pleased with this service!

Also, the guys did a fantastic job yesterday. My husband is the safety guy for his company, he was extremely impressed how safe and professional the guys were yesterday. They worked in sync with one another and seemed to always know what each other was going to do next. Please let them know, their efforts were appreciated.

Selner arborists are highly professional and knowledgeable. They trimmed our large silver maple as well as smaller birches and even a peach tree. Results were excellent. They also treated a diseased magnolia tree saving it. Excellent service. We recommend Selner to anyone who needs an arborist!

Our most recent experience with Selner was to remove 3 large trees from our property. All were overhanging our house and tangled up with other trees. They arrived with a crew of 4 and a street full of trucks and equipment. They carefully protected my lawn from being damaged by the large lift truck that they needed. At the end of the day the trees were gone with the the 3 stumps being the only evidence that the crew had been here. There was not even much in the way of sawdust! They even blew the leaves off of my roof and split a couple of the logs for me to use as benches. Great job!

Wow what a great group of people! The guys that climbed to cut were amazing. They worked quickly and safely. Very professional. Left a clean area.

We used Selner to remove 20 trees in our yard. These were not easy removals as we had a number of good hardwoods that needed room to breath and without care could have been damaged during the removal. Selner also pruned a tree that was terribly overgrown. They were outstanding. For the work they did, we were more than pleased with the outcome and value. We know our trees will flourish under their care. We will certainly continue to use Selner as we were impressed with their professionalism, skill and quality.

I reported storm damage to my trees, this company never called back. Follow up 7/7/22. After response from Selner, wouldn’t recommend contacting for emergency due to prioritizing by existing customers versus urgency of request.

A month ago, I had Selner Tree and Shrub Care take out my bushes in the front of my house and grind 5 stumps (they subcontract out). They quoted me $110/hr for stump grinding, they charged me for 4 hrs and gave me a lame excuse as to why it was so much. The guy was here and only took him 1 hr, start to cleanup. I voiced my concern about being overcharged, wouldn’t get back to me so I emailed the owner (many people would have not even realized the overcharge). They finally got back to me and I got a little refund check last week. The grinder cut my electrical wire in the front yard too and the company won’t do anything about it, I have to contact the grinder guy. They will take my extra money for the subcontractor real fast but then not stand behind his work!!!?? Yes, it was in my contract to mark wires and I didn’t know it was there. They did great work, got everything done ahead of schedule, but watch your bill and read the contract. They could still have made it right but chose not to. Sometimes I feel companies are just out to make the buck $ nowadays and customer service is not top priority anymore 😡

Very expensive. More than 2x the price of similar services. They wanted to re-plant a 50ft tall silver maple. That’s my best guess based on the price and explanation they gave me for the reason for the high price.
