I regret to say that I can no longer recommend Seven Trees for tree work. I’m giving them 2 stars based on my past experiences (back then would have been 5 stars), which were largely positive despite occasional poor communication. The pricing used to be fair and the quality of work excellent. However, something has changed. My last job, initially agreed upon in 2022, was delayed multiple times and wasn’t completed until fall 2023. While the work itself was great, the final bill was nearly double the agreed-upon price. They tried to bill me hourly, which was never part of our agreement, and included charges for hours not worked due to rain. When I raised concerns about the invoice, Seven Trees refused to speak to me over the phone about it, but attempted to justify the higher charges and pressured me to pay more. Eventually, they agreed to honor the original price, but only after considerable effort on my part and telling them they are trying to “bait and switch”. It’s disappointing to see such a decline in service from a company that was once reliable. If you’re considering tree work, I suggest looking elsewhere.

I don’t understand this place at all. They just don’t care. I WANTED to give them my business, but they can’t be bothered to even call you back with a bid. Three times, I had them out. Three times, no bid. Decided to go with a friendlier, better, cheaper tree removal service. I guess when you’re contracted with the city, you don’t need other customers any more. Hey, city! I can give you the name of a tree removal service that will make our taxes go further in tree removal.

It is hard to find a quality tree service that can and will do what is needed. When a 40 year old Queen Maple needs a major hair cut, these are the folks to call! Thank you for trimming down the tree properly and trimming up the decorative tree in our yard with such skill. Friendly and great clean up from an amazing crew!!

Prompt, polite, cooperative. A little more thorough than we hoped, but big tree will recover. Cleaned everything up very well. Would use them again.

I got several quotes from tree companies in the area and found Seven Trees to be the most competitive. I also found that Wes, the arborist who came to give an estimate, was the most knowledgable and made us feel comfortable with making decisions on which trees to keep and which to remove. I was impressed with their communication around the day they came to trim and always felt that I was kept in the loop. I know that there are negative reviews for this company and we definitely took those into consideration when deciding which company to use, but we didn’t experience what others did. It was a really great experience for us and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.
