I would never use these people. The owner of this company knocked on my door like it was the police at my door three separate times at 7:45 am after we didn’t answer our doorbell, He rang it three times before pounding on the door. So, I raced to the door thinking it was an emergency. He was soliciting his tree service and asked if I wanted a tree in the front yard cut down. I told him I’m not interested. He kept trying to sell me on getting my tree cut down I said again I am not interested. Then I asked if that was necessary to knock so hard on my front door and that I was sleeping because I work until 4 am and he just woke up our baby. He just said OK. The guy showed no remorse and started arguing that he didn’t knock that hard and told me to check my ring doorbell. Not one apology. A few minutes later I noticed they were standing around in my yard smoking cigarettes, so I asked them to please get off my property which the owner tried to argue more than I just walked away. They were working on the house across the street and because he was rude, I told him he has no need to be in my yard. They continued to leave their chainsaws and tools in my yard, but I left it alone. I do need a tree cut down, but I will be looking elsewhere because of this. Update he came back 3 hours later after my father came over to say hi to our kids. The rude owner started getting in an argument with my dad who knew nothing about what happened earlier. Then I came out of the house to tell my dad don’t waste your time with this guy he is rude. The rude owner walked up my driveway and approached me to start another argument he got really close. He said a half as apology saying sorry but how was he supposed to know you and your baby were sleeping. I told him I do not care you were crazy rude before. Then I asked him to leave me alone and get off my property which we were half way up my driveway . Three times I said get off my property and He refused to leave and kept trying to argue with me and stepping towards me. My dad came over yelling telling him to just listen and leave me alone.Only once he noticed my dad pulled out his phone and was recording him, He left my driveway and started recording me. After that my dad started telling his coworkers to get the tools off my lawn. One guy apologized for the owner’s behavior and stated, “that guy is a jerk, but he isn’t”. Then I said to that coworker I appreciate it but that the owner would just not leave me alone and has been rude. The coworker began screaming and cursing at the owner. That guy was very respectable and that deescalated the situation as the owner ran off to sit in his truck and video tape us. Now the owner is making up his excuse under this review don’t believe him.My father and I did not once threaten him we only asked him to get off my property and leave me alone which again he refused.WE called the police because after all that the owner was kept waving at us as he was working trying to provoke me and I didn’t want him to come back on to my property at this point I was worried about the safety of my kids and wife. The police said he will tell him he will not go back on my property or else he will be arrested. The Police also said I just have to send in my ring footage to get him to work on getting him cited or else it is just hearsay. I wouldn’t have had any problem if he would have just left me alone when I said get off my property the first time, but he kept coming back so unprofessional. I bought this house less than a year ago and I have never spoken to those neighbors. This guy is just a liar / narcissist. Believe all his bad reviews, he has an excuse on everyone. We have clear video of me asking him 3 times to get off my property and him refusing and not leaving trying to argue with me half way up my driveway. That’s definitely something someone does when he is just trying to apologize and deescalate the situation. BS

This is the second time that we have worked with A Cut Above Tree Service. I wouldn’t use any one else! I as impressed with their work the first time and the quality has not diminished! They removed 2 trees and cleaned up pine tree near the house. The work is through and clean. They are truly experts in their field! Any future tree work needed, they will be my go to.

Unbelievable service! I had a large tree taken down and 3 large trees trimmed. Mike and his team did a amazing job. The clean up of my yard and street was perfect. This company, including Mike’s wife Anna, were friendly, professional and efficient. One of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had. Would 100% recommend. (FYI, they were the lowest bid of the four I got) So happy!!

We had a tree that had died over the winter. The crew from this company made very quick work of removing the tree and took care of all the debris very effectively, too. I was surprised how cleaned up the area was when they left. They were easy to work with, and they did a good job removing the tree without damaging the backyard fences it was between or the other obstacles in the way.

They were very concerned about lawn damage with all the rain we had. Had three trees fully come down and another trimmed all completed by noon. Their prices were also better than another quote I received. Couldn’t be happier.

July 12, 2024 Mike (owner) of A CUT ABOVE Tree Service and his crew arrived this morning right on time. We had a front row seat, to a fascinating and dangerous process, with Mike and his crew working like a well-oiled machine They removed 4 trees; started at 7:30 am and gone at 12:30 pm, with the yard and cal-de-sac completely cleaned. They even picked up all the black walnuts that had fallen from the black walnut tree that Mike shaped. (We hate the black walnuts.) We were absolutely thrilled with the care they took to protect the ground where the equipment went and protected the house from scratches. Mike dropped a huge Maple in the back yard, perfectly placed, missing the other trees, the fence, the deck. This was a job-well-done if we ever saw one. On a scale of 1 to 5, we would give a 10. Mike and his crew did an OUTSTANDING job! Not only did they cut down two trees for us but they also cleaned up the mess we left from trying to do it ourselves. They went above and beyond our expectations. The work was conducted safely and efficiently. They were on time, professional, friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable, taking time to explain the process and answering our questions. Nothing was too much trouble and they left the yard looking spotless. I would highly recommend this company.

Had large birch tree removed today, and everything went seamlessly! The team worked well together and came right on time at 730 am. Also trimmed an extra small birch at no cost and trees bordering our neighbors property. Very appreciative of these extra services. One piece of their equipment even needed repair, but they kept doing the job manually to keep on a tight schedule. We are grateful we no longer have to worry about that tree falling over in a storm, and have been enjoying the extra light we receive inside our home. We were able to watch most of the process, and they took the tree down very professionally without hitting our shed, home or anything else on the way down. Very helpful and communication by the crew and prior on the phone were all top notch. Price was great, and the service was too. Would definitely use again for any tree removal or trimming needs!!

A Cut Above Tree Service removed several trees, including grinding the stumps. They were super efficient, safe and professional. One tree needed to be dropped in a tight area with power lines on one side, a healthy tree on one side, and the neighbor’s lawn on one side. Mike dropped it perfectly, with no harm to anything surrounding it – it was incredible to watch. Clean up was amazing – there was nothing left for us to clean up. Highly recommend!

The guys came out today to remove 3 trees. They entered through my neighbors yard. They took the time to blow the dew off the grass to help minimize the damage. The fell the trees where they planned and the cleanup was exceptional. The crew was professional and worked like a well oiled machine. They did a great job and will use them again. I will gladly recommend them to anyone needing tree work done.
