Owner comments on bad reviews and says they are fake and tells others that they are lying. He did not like my 3 star review, said it was a fake review. I’m not sure why Google is not letting me post pictures either, or I would show the contract that was signed. The tree guys left a mess, cut and damaged my mother’s fence, there was no communication between the home owner or the tree guys. I don’t remember reading that the fence would have to be cut and damaged being in the contract. And there is a huge mess. Mind you, yes there was sticks already on the ground before the trees got cut down, but not like the mess now.

Ive worked with many tree companies over the years because i own a grass cutting business and have been FORCED to deal with this company twice. First time was last year I had a branch break off my tree and cut the power cable to my house. It was an emergency situation so I had to find any tree service that could come out fastest and after many calls to different companies Madcow said they could make it out in about a week. They quoted me 5k and sent me a text for a contract that I just hit yes on without a confirmed date (mistake). The next day they sent a date that was over 3 weeks away! I immediately knew I couldn’t wait that long so I talked to some more companies and one said they could match the price and be out in 2 days. So I called the day after I hit yes on this text contract and told them I couldn’t wait so long and needed to cancel. I was extremely polite and apologized for the inconvenience and the first response out of the woman’s mouth was “that will be 10% of the quote so you owe us $500 and if you don’t pay we WILL take you to court”. I understand how contracts work but they were extremely misleading about the time frame and it was for work that was still almost a month away and I had just signed this text the day before so there was ZERO costs or scheduling conflicts they would have incurred from this 24 hour old agreement. More so than anything was the way these people talked to me. The most unprofessional and nasty people I’ve ever come across in my line of work. My wife wrote them a check for $500 because I hit yes on a text a day earlier for work a month away. Second unfortunate occurrence was last week. They did work at one of my customers two days prior to me cutting. This is a house at the end of a narrow dead end street ive cut every week for years. I did a walk around to make sure I didn’t hit anything and thought it was clear. I was cutting with a 42 inch zero turn and somehow sucked in about a 15 foot safety chain. Wrapped around both blades and destroyed my deck. I told the homeowner and she insisted we contact them because this would potentially be an insurance issue. She called them on speakerphone while I was standing there and a lady answered. She described what had just happened and the ladies IMMEDIATE response was “that wouldn’t be our chain” then said the owner would have to contact us. The owner spoke to both myself and the woman who had just paid them a lot of money for work. He refused to even consider this chain was there’s then outright REFUSED to give me or the property owner the name of their insurance. His words to me were “I will be dawned if I give either of you the name of my insurance company”. I replaced all the blades and some deck parts at a cost of about $300. Ive never even met these people and they have costed me over $800. Again either of these circumstances can be debated on what is correct or not but the way these people conduct business and talk to customers is actually shocking.

Mad Cow service did an excellent job cutting down 3 trees. Best part was they cleaned up after themselves and took all debris away. Will be looking to hire them again in the fall.
