My Girlfriend hired them to remove Bamboo roots & stump grind two stumps in the backyard. She also left them a check on-site the same day which come to find out was a huge mistake They finished 80% of the stump grinding and did not even begin to remove the Bamboo roots that were agreed upon. They also demolished 2 palm trees that were not agreed upon and cracked a concrete patio they drove one of their machines over. Since they were already paid the same day by a check we left behind now they won’t even call us back or complete what they agreed to do. They take advantage of women ; they won’t respond to our phone calls & are poor communicators. Our Overall experience was terrible & simply could have been avoided by performing the work in the signed contract that they agreed to. However since we trusted them and left a check behind we are now at a loss since they got their money & wont return any of our inquiries to complete the work etc. I would recommend you find another company that you can trust & Blue ox tree service should be avoided at how they operate their business & take advantage of the local people.

My experience with Blue Ox Tree Services was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I engaged their services to specifically address the bamboo in my yard, but the outcome was far from what I expected or communicated. Not only did they remove items in my front yard after I repeatedly informed them we did not need services in the front yard, but they also proceeded to remove palms in the back yard that were not agreed upon when walking the site with an employee. Their lack of attention to detail also led to a cracked patio from their equipment, resulting in additional costs for us to have to now fix. The bamboo, which was the primary reason for hiring them, remained untouched despite assurances that were provided to me when I asked if stump grinding would remove the bamboo (please see picture of bamboo that we ended up removing on our own after these services were provided and paid for). I tried multiple times to address these issues and requested a refund for the removal of plants that were not supposed to be touched, but they blamed it on a supposed ‘communication problem.’ However, it is evident they are responsible for this as they subcontracted the work without accurately relaying my specific requests. Their assertion that I received more services than paid for is inaccurate and misleading. I reiterated multiple times that the front yard did not require attention, yet this was not conveyed to the contracted team. I would strongly caution against anyone considering their services, and to be extremely vigilant and explicit in their instructions, as there appears to be a significant gap between what is communicated and what is actually executed. I am now left with additional costs to fix their mistakes, and they stopped returning my calls and voicemails after asking for a credit. There are other local services that I am confident would provide better services than Blue Ox.

I’ve used several tree and palm trimming companies over the years but have found Blue Ox to be overly professional, skilled and reliable. A neighbor recently asked me if I was pleased and I responded that I am “very very” pleased.

We had a great experience with Blue Ox Tree Service from dealing with Aaron on the estimate and advice on what to trim to final completion. We needed them to come a few days before initial appointment due to other contractor scheduling and they accommodated us. The guys doing the work were extremely professional and respectful of our property. They completed the trimming and left our yard and landscape areas cleaner than before they arrived. We were concerned about a limb over our house that we thought had damage but couldn’t see the rot from the ground. They climbed the tree and took pictures and sent to the arborist on staff. It was advised that we take it out and good thing we did because when it was cut off you could see all the rot in the middle. Again, I cant say enough about the guys that actually did the work… very professional and courteous. I will use them again and would recommend them to anyone in the area.
