DAMAGED PROPERTY AND DID NOT PAY… just posting a review in the hopes it helps another homeowner not to engage with this scam of a company. They broke my window and ripped apart a lawn chair we had been given as a gift from Colombia. Nothing but headaches, then they said they are no longer responsible. **UPDATE** they answered my review… and I have emailed them several times, ZERO RESPONSE!

First assigned lawn mower canceled without visiting the site. Reason for cancellation was “lawn did not need mowing.” Second lawn mower showed up, haphazardly mowed the front yard only and left without setting foot on the backyard even though we left the gates open. Left a mess for us to clean up. Terrible service. You’d do better to allow some goats to graze on your yard.

This is the most nonresponsive company I have ever dealt with. Their agents have no idea what they are doing. They say to go through their website but that doesn’t work either. Steer clear of this company if you want good service. Update: I was finally able to schedule a mowing and to be fair, the person they sent to do the job was competent. However, I was told I would be charged $19 for the initial mowing fee. Instead of being charged the promised $19 for the first mowing, I was charged $74. This included a $22 fee because my grass was high, which I was OK with. But if I had been charged the promised $19 fee in addition to the $22 surcharge, I would have been asked to pay $41, not $74. Therefore, they were over-charging me $33. What makes this worse is that I am dealing with a metastatic cancer right now and I was looking for something to make my life easier. BTW, if you look at my other reviews – they are mostly 5 star reviews. I am not a chronic complainer. However, my reviews are honest. Lawnstarter actually deserves zero stars, not one. UPdate: They reached out to me via email and fixed the price issue. They were very gracious about it. So I agreed to continue with their mowing service and I’ve upgraded them from 1 star to 3 stars. If they continue to do good work and continue to be responsive, I will continue to upgrade the stars. I do appreciate them reaching out to me and fixing the problem. So thank you to Megan for your timely response and for helping fix the problems.

Horrible horrible service. Keep assigning me new crews saying they will come, crew never shows up making excuses about weather and other things. Scam of a company. I’m gonna find a way to file a proper complaint. It’s a grass cutting business not rocket science. Get your act together.

Never showed up the 3rd time. Have been promised they will come to mow and it’s been 2 weeks and still nothing. My yard is very high and out of control So i can’t even get anyone else to come mow it without paying extra for tall grass fees. Avoid this company at all cost!!!

The mowers bent the hinge on my gate and now it won’t close. They had to know that it didn’t latch when they left and I wasn’t notified of the damage until I went to see if the gate was latched before I let my dogs into the yard. I have an injured shoulder so I needed them to mow my yard while I recover and now I have a broken gate and it is unsafe to let my dogs into my yard without my supervision. I texted pictures of the damage to the number they contacted me through to let me know the mower was on his way, and they said they would call me as soon as they got to the office. I still haven’t received a call, and in my injured state, I have no means of fixing my gate by myself. This is unacceptable, do NOT use this service.

Very unreliable/unprofessional company. They do not value their customers. You can’t be sure that they will actually show up or that you’ll even be notified that they will not be showing up.

We scheduled service on Monday for Wednesday mow. No one came, called said Thursdsy a 2 day window Thurs came no show. Call customer service they are no help, said someone will be out

Please pay attention to the reviews. This company is TRASH. They put you on autopay and NEVER show. We’ve been in our house since April and they’ve shown up like 3 or 4 times. We signed up for biweekly front and back lawn and at first, they showed up regularly but as the weeks went by we started noticing more and more that the back yard was getting skipped. Eventually they stopped showing all together but we kept getting text message notifications that they’d cut our grass! TRASH COMPANY with unethical employees. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!!
