There was a time when L&J had a stellar lawn service. That time has passed. We sang their praises several years ago and that was well deserved AT THAT TIME. No more. To be fair, the nature of lawn care services attracts those who are willing to work either intermittently or seasonally. Unfortunately, everyone must eat so those workers more often than not will find other (steady) employment that they can count on. So, when Spring comes around, the customers are at the mercy of whoever the newest batch of workers happen to be. What a disaster that turned out to be. We had landscape lights destroyed. Landscape paver tiles chipped, broken and cracked. Whole areas of the yard not mowed while other sections trenched out by the lawnmowers wherls (grass torn out by the roots). I could go on further, but you get the gist of the mess. We have given this company almost the whole Spring/Summer seasom to correct and restore our yard. We called the owner of L&J. REPEATEDLY!! He has answered the phone maybe once. Voice mails go unanswered. Text messages get no response. We know he received our text messages because when we texted that his services were terminated, he called back almost instantly. Much to our relief we found another lawn service to finish out the season with zero problems.

Great service. Eddy really helped us out when we needed landscaping and clean up. Based on his great job we used him for Lawn Maintenance for our 1.7 acre home and property.

We used L & J to hang Christmas lights on our home! Eddie and his team did an excellent job! They are very friendly. Their workmanship is top notch! They care about what they do which means a lot these days. I will be calling on L & J next spring for a yard cleanup and again next fall! They are trustworthy and have fair pricing.

We used L&J to bury downspouts, install aluminum edging around the landscaped areas, and install mulch. Eddie came out right away for an estimate and was great to work with throughout the entire process. Eddie and his crew did an excellent job, and made sure to clean up their mess when the job was complete. I had one pop-up that I felt was a little too high (noticed after his crew had left), so Eddie came and corrected it the following day. Fair price, great work, and outstanding customer service. These qualities are very hard to find around the Valpo area. Highly recommend!

We used L & J at my office to refresh some very overgrown and neglected landscaping. They removed old mulch, moved some existing plants, added river rock and some beautiful edging pavers. They did an amazing job and were very hardworking and friendly.

I called L and J Lawn Care for a quote on sod and weed removal along the back of my fence line and installing mulch in its place. Eddie came out the next day and gave me a quote and completed the work 2 weeks later. I couldn’t be happier with the quality and care taken to improve the back of my property.
