Wonderful company for my lawn care and mowing and they have done a wonderful job on trees and shrubs! They planted 28 large trees and shrubs for me recently. I’ve worked with Jeff and several of their crews for over 15 years and always have superior service and landscape products from them. Especially on planning and advice as to what to put where to accomplish the beauty and purpose of the installation. They’ve also fixed a Ester problem I had recently with draining and redirecting water washing out a particular area. Highest praise for all the crews and services! Sherrye

This review is for Backflow Services run by Colonial Gardens. They have different addresses, same phone number 565-3648. Every year, they call or send a letter to our address (probably to all addresses in the phone book) saying that “winterization” has been scheduled for a specific date, and unless we respond, they will go ahead and do the work – even if the owner is not home. I have never used this company and never will. But, their sales tactics are interesting – must be illegal to schedule service (supposedly) and threaten go ahead we do not respond… I have not fallen for this … beware !

We needed a landscaper for landscape design in our front yard and backyard. We chose Colonial Gardens to do this work. Kristi, their landscape designer gave us excellent suggestions on how to achieve the look we wanted for our property. Aaron and his team did a wonderful job implementing the plan. We were very happy with the professional and friendly service Colonial Gardens provides. We have also hired them to prune and maintain our new landscaping on a quarterly basis. I would highly recommend Colonial Gardens for all your landscaping needs.

Horrible company. When they mow they think they are racing in the Indianapolis 500. They only know 1 height to cut at and that is scalping. They will destroy your yard when mowing even if it does not need to be cut. If you take care of your grass and have it professionally treated they scalp and kill it. After calling the office multiple times asking them not to cut your yard they don’t listen and continue to do it. It’s ashame my tax dollars are paying for this. Don’t need them cutting my grass.

A ride around hampton va, which they somehow got the contract for everything, will show you how bad they are. Weeds 2 foot tall in every right of way. They even mow and destroy front yards on side streets, which is not their job.

I did not have the work done, however my neighbor did. The company damaged my sod, mulch bed and fence with their sloppy work and no regard to other people’s property. The owner fixed the fence, but not the other issues. I would hire a more professional company to do work – definitely not this one.
