Nate and his team did a fantastic job on our landscaping project! We needed retaining walls replaced, updates to the existing plantings and a patio and fire pit installed. Nate took our abstract vision and created beautiful spaces that fit perfectly with our style and home. We highly recommend Rost Landscaping!

Just dealt with Jacob Porter at Rost Landscaping on a project where they installed some large boulders, plants, and mulch. It came out great. The boulders that Jacob got for us were exactly what we wanted with respect to appearance and size. His guys did the work very quickly and with great care. They used a stand behind front end loader to rip out some old bushes and place the boulders and they did it with such care that the lawn was not damaged at all. We are so happy with their work. Rost has also planted several trees in our yard over the years. I wouldn’t deal with anyone else in the Columbia, MO area for landscaping/trees – call Rost!

HIGHLY recommend Rost Landscaping if you want some done!!! Jacob Porter was our Designer and he took our vision and ran with it. Our yard is even more beautiful than we expected and he was AWESOME to work with. Always prompt to answer any questions, and listened to what we wanted. Thank you, Jacob!

We recently used Rost Landscaping to redesign and update our home front landscape. The people at Rost were knowledgeable, professional, and efficient in completing our project. We worked with Jacob Porter who designed a wonderful plan and then ensured its excellent implementation. He easily made changes when needed. The work crews were always courteous and at completion the work site was left spotless, without any further clean up needed. Our expectations were exceeded. We would definitely use Rost again in the future.

We’ve worked with Rost Landscaping and Jacob Porter on two projects and couldn’t be more pleased. Jacob designed a patio and landscaping beds in both the front and backyard and his design work is amazing! Jacob was great to work with, professional and talented. He did a great job managing the project and was responsive and accommodating to some changes along the way. Thanks Jacob and Rost for a beautiful yard!

Rost Landscaping recently completed a walkway and patio area for our back yard. Jacob Porter was the designer for the project, and was very easy to work. Jacob’s creativity and professionalism was an asset to the project. The crew worked hard and steadily each day with the build and the cleanup afterward. Jacob Porter drew up a very pleasing design for our front yard. He suggested ideas to improve drainage even though that wasn’t what we had contacted him for. The crew came as planned, worked hard and steadily. A big job taking out overgrown shrubs, contouring, planting, mulching, seeding, resetting pavers, all in one day.Thank you Jacob and crew.

If you are looking for plants, trees and shrubs, I would highly recommend you find another provider for this service. We build a new home in the area and the landscape contractor got our shrubs and trees form Rost. The most expensive tree did not survive. We contacted the landscape contractor and he said Rost would not cover. Went to the Rost office to see if I could talk with someone. Was told by the office manager that I needed an appointment. She took my information and said some one would contact me.. It is now approximately four months after my visit and several months since I purchased the expensive tree. I would recommend you find someone else and look at the details of the “contract”. The times I have talked with Rost they have had no interst in addressing my question. Hope some of you have better service than I have to date. Thanks

Rost recently updated our landscaping in our front yard, and did a wonderful job, from beginning design to final execution. Our landscaping was last done in the mid-90s, and it was overgrown and filled with weeds, even with regular care. We worked with Nate, one of the designers, to redesign the yard, bring in more native plants that require less water and maintenance, and generally update the look of the home. He was phenomenal – responsive, detailed, creative, and willing to work with evolving ideas. He came up with ideas that we would not have considered otherwise (and we went with them!!!), and we appreciated the vision he brought to the project. Once we made the decision to move forward, Rost’s teams came out and within three days had massive beds torn out and redone – but also done extremely carefully. I also appreciated that when we had some last minute changes, they were able to incorporate them without a problem…. and were super awesome about making sure our invisible fence was put where it needed to go and still working. Great work, will be working with them in the future for more landscaping/design/maintenance needs.
