Hasse Construction Co Inc 6 years agoThe city of Whiting is the owners of The Whiting Mascot hall of fame. Whiting city hall hired Bergland to be the General Contractor of the job. Berglund hired Hasse Construction (whom is also a GC) to pour the concrete on the premises and also to polish the concrete. Hasse contracted Marblelife to polish the concrete. We performed our mock ups, all three were approved and all 3 were different. It was clear from the very beginning that Hasse, Whiting & the architect’s were clueless about polished concrete. I could not get a solid answer out of any of them so i pulled the Marblelife Crew off the job. The con artist that he is threatened me with Class action law suit if Marblelife didn’t return. He stated that he had Hasse, Whiting, the Architects, etc on the same page and we were good to go. Under Jeff Jackmans numerous Lye’s we spent the next 2-3 months completing the 3 levels of polished concrete to find out at the very end the floors were not acceptable. We hired 3 – 3rd party polished concrete consultants to come in and test the floor. all 3 sided with Marblelife and stated the floor was completed per spec/contract. We thought we were finally going to get paid! We were already upside down on this job about $20,000, on top of the $40,000+ they owe. They send a letter a few weeks later stating they were suspending the contract and i owed the money because we wernt union. They new from day 1 we wernt Union. I have that in an email also! ac general construction 2 years agoFailed to perform the quality work for which I paid him to do and when I tried to contact him for him to come back to complete the work he has been blowing me off. Anyone knows a good lawyer ?
