The worst of the worst around here (and that’s saying a lot considering the horrible landscaping and sprinkler company options in Kootenai County.). Owner, Richard, is a hot-head with anger management issues. Look at all the one-star reviews. He will no-show or walk off a job at the drop of a hat and then still look for ways to charge you. Do yourself a favor… Avoid these guys like the plague.

We have used R&J Landscaping Bi annually for 6 years. 5 stars every time. Jim has been awesome and Ed also has been terrific and helpful. Professional and reasonable price.

Our company, Hometown Property Management, uses R&J for the majority of our turn ons and blowouts each season. They are reliable, easy to work with, and they will always take the time to explain if they found any issues and possible solutions.

I was calling around this summer to get quotes on installation for my backyard sprinklers. I expressed to them how important it was that I get on a schedule promptly. I understood that they were busy. However I had multiple things to get lined up including new gate installation and memorial in Kansas to go to. Being as they did not get back to me promptly. With the date, they going to come out. I went with some other company. They scheduled themselves without permission. Then got upset when the job was done by another company. Now, after several years of servicing our location with sprinkler blowouts, they decided not to tell me that this year they were not going to do so, and they were going to cut off servicing my house. Talk about unprofessional business.

Terrible customer service. Got a bill and was charged a $10 late fee. Nowhere on the invoice does it show that there will be some kind of late fee. The lady on the phone said “We are not a big business that can just not charge late fees”. I don’t mind paying a late fee if it states it somewhere. If you’re going to assess a late fee then show that on the invoice. What if the late fee if $100? How would I know that without seeing that info on the invoice?! Don’t support this terrible local business. There are plenty of other great landscape companies like Greentek.

The front office lady always has a terrible attitude. They blow out my sprinklers and always leave the knob for the flow open so I end up with flooding. I won’t utilize them any more.

Been using R&J since we moved here in 2021. They are punctual and always send us reminder cards for our sprinkler system blowout. I am planning on using them for some additional yard work soon.

I called R&J Landscaping to turn on the water & backflow test for my sprinkler system on my newly purchased house. The service was professional and on time! Additionally, the technician was kind enough to give me a run down on how to use the system, what zones are where and what maintenance is needed to keep the operation running smoothly. Shout out to Jim on the team for his time and providing some helpful advice I will use to improve my landscaping! Highly recommended.

I like the lady on the phone and scheduled them for a sprinkler blow out. They showed up this morning and the guy knocked on the door and was VERY rude saying “I can’t find the *whatever the thing is called* I can’t do the job if I don’t know where it’s at” instead of just asking where it was and we didn’t even know he was here. He “looked” in our tiny front yard. We said “oh it’s in the backyard” and before we could tell him to go through the gate he has angerly asking how he’s supposed to get back there. Once he left I let my dogs out. I didn’t realize he left the gate wide open and my dogs ended up getting out. (It’s obvious I have dogs by the things in my yard). When I went out back again I noticed he didn’t even put the lid back on my sprinkler hole thing. I couldn’t believe how rude he was right of the get go. Even my husband was caught off guard. I’ve had lots of people come work on my house before and my sprinklers blown out many times and never had my gate left open or my sprinkler access not put back together…
