We have had a terrible experience with Property Masters (now Cumberland Landscape Group). In early spring of last year, we got several quotes to fix a drainage problem in our back yard. Property Masters’ proposal differed from the others we received, but their representative (Lance Fry) seemed credible, and he assured us that they would fix our drainage problem for just under $15K. When Property Masters finished their work, we were very skeptical because the yard looked very much like it did before we hired them. Lance assured us that the problem had been solved. However, we continued to have the same old drainage problem we had been having before we hired Property Masters. I left several phone messages for Lance, but he never responded. Finally I contacted the office and was told that Lance was no longer with the company. I was referred to Jay Smith. Jay visited the property when we were not home (without letting us know he was coming). When we spoke afterward, Jay insisted that the job was done right. Jay told us that we have to keep clearing out the drainage ditch every month or so to keep it flowing. However, this is what we had been doing for years before this project. I told Jay that the property was not graded properly to allow the water to drain off our lawn. He disagreed, but the constant standing water has remained. Installing a permanent solution to eliminate our drainage problem and the maintenance it required was the single reason we paid Property Masters $15K to do the work. The months went by, but Jay was difficult to reach and continued to refuse to remedy the situation. We continue to have standing water on our lawn. Finally, in March of this year (almost a year after the work was completed), after ongoing attempts to get Property Masters to fix what we paid them to fix, I convinced Jay that he needed to see how poorly their drainage system is working. When he came by, he said he would discuss it with his team and get back to us “in a few days.” It is now mid-May, and he has never gotten back to us. In summary, Property Masters was quick to take almost $15K of our money to do a major landscaping job in our yard that was supposed to fix our drainage problem. It never worked. We still have to do what we did before they did the job. And they refuse to take ownership of the problem and fix it as they originally promised.

Hired Property Masters summer of 2021 since our neighbors yard looked so great. We had them redo the front and back yard which was to include grading for drainage, plants, sidewalk install and sod. The plants and sidewalks turned out great but everything else was garbage. Both the front and back pool water so bad they are unusable, which is a shame due to the amount of money we paid. They also didn’t pull up the roots to old plants so now they are coming back through the mulch. They came out 4x to try and fix it and it just got worse. Sadly I do not recommend this company.

From the time we moved in the community in 2020 they were responsible for lawn care and trimming of shrubs. Very inconsistent with trimming and cut my landscaping lights twice, I repaired it the first time , the second time I send an email to Jay which I believe was the manager of the crew serving our community, Did’nt take care of the problem. Then we where told that Property Master was being taken over by Cumberland Management and that they were not going to honor Property Master contract and was going to increase the price by 100,000 thousand dollars. HOA was giving a 30 day notice, I would not recommend this company terrible customer service!!

I made an appointment with Trevor, waited two weeks for him to come out. Never showed. Checked all the confirmation emails and called in. They finally called me back to argue with me that there was no appointment even though I’m reading off the appointment details on their own website. Seems dishonest. Ask to reschedule for another 3 weeks out and then they tell me they don’t even service Gwinnett. The lowest possible bar is to show up and return emails and calls and they couldn’t do that.

We tried to work with them for well over a year, however they were just very inconsistent and not responsive when things were done completed. I had to call multiple times just to get a response. The last thing I wanted to do was to find another company, but they really didn’t seem interested in retaining our business, and didn’t even try to keep us or ask why we left. I wouldn’t say they are horrible, just below average.

They did excellent landscaping. They built us a boulder wall, put in pavers and many other services. Conner our foreman for the job was amazing. Checked with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy. Amazingly professional. I highly recommend this company. Excellent quality!!

My landscape looks really great. I love it. It’s been a long time coming. But, it was worth the wait. I’m so excited to show my new lawn to my church family and friends. Thank you Property Master. Thank you Conor Catalan, I was really impressed when you came to take care of the lawn during the holiday, to make sure everything was button down for inclimate weather.

We contracted with Property Masters for a back yard renovation. We replaced a retaining wall, excavated a trash pit, expanded our patio, installed a kitchen and added landscaping. Lance was a pleasure to work with and over saw ever aspect of the job. Gus was the supervisor of the job and he was the best!! Professional and easy to work with. Shout out to Zoe in the office!! She even called me while she was on vacation to make sure everything was ok!! We could not be happier with Property Masters and our finished product.
