Dave and his team at Laub’s Landscaping have helped us out three times over the many years. For each unique drainage project they were not only attentive, but the quality of the work is hands-down better (the materials and the installation). As a business owner I feel lucky to find someone committed to honesty and integrity. That alone is worth so much more.

After reading the other reviews, I’m glad to see I’m one of many that has had a problem with lack of communication. Dave came out 10 days ago and verbally provided what he recommended for our drainage issues. He said he would be sending a quote? Considering he verbally provided a complete detailed plan when here, I didn’t realize 10 days later, after 2 phone calls, a text and an email requesting a quote … crickets. We will now have to find a company that has some understanding of customer service.

This review is not about the installation of the drainage system. The install itself was top notch, but the 3 stars is because of the lack of communication. He has not answered the phone when I call, nor returned my phone calls when I left a message. Dave installed drainage with a sump pump in my backyard in September of 2021, and it worked quite well and I was very happy….until this last rain. Water backed up around the foundation of my house. I have called him but he has not called me back. I emailed him and he did email me back saying he would send someone out, but I haven’t heard from him since. I have asked him to recommend another company if he is too busy… I will follow up if I hear from him. Dave, in response to you…you never spoke on the phone with me. Your email said you would send someone over asap…it has been 11 days now, and I know you are very busy, but I have no idea what your “as soon as possible” actually means…Meanwhile, my husband found that the 4 inch underground pipe was full of debris from the downspout you attached it to, and he used the shop vac to clean it out. We bought a screen to go over the downspout up on the roof. The screen should help keep much of the debris out, so going forward, perhaps you could tell your customers to purchase a screen for their downspouts when you attach your pipes to them, I think this will help… The sump pump is fine, it was the debris from the pipe causing all the problems. He would love for you to come out or contact him, and brainstorm ideas for keeping this from happening in the future.

Do NOT call for drainage or landscaping needs. -Broke our sprinkler system and wouldn’t take responsibility for weeks. Had to call another sprinkler company to come and get proof. Even still he argued and wouldn’t take responsibility. Finally said his guys made a mistake and hd it fixed. Still had to pay the other company ~250 to come look. -The hydrowhey system doesn’t do a great job at draining. We have water sitting on the side of our house often. -The flexipave material not only looks un-slightly because they installed it a foot and a half lower than the door step, but it also has hollow spots and waves throughout. It also burns our feet when it’s in the sun which Dave said it wouldn’t! -Charged us 20% more than the estimate but didn’t tell us until after it was all done.

Dave came out and reviewed our issues with me! We had a downspout that was insufficient to handle the volume of water. Crew installed a hydroflow drain against the house. They removed and replaced pavers upon completion. Very good cleanup and restoration of property. Would recommend for any type of drainage issue! Thanks Dave

Dave’s proposal was the best solution to handle our drainage issues using a hydra way drainage system and flexipave. His crew were meticulous with their work and cleanup. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend them!

Was supposed to do a job and didn’t show up, has been unresponsive to emails and calls. Can’t comment on quality of work but getting the work actually done has proven difficult

This is in response to my previous review that Mr. Laub stated that I did not communicate with him. I have many texts and phone call records and voice mails that were long before the sump pump was out of warranty. Mr. Laub, perhaps you need to review your records before you make a misrepresenting response that I am unable to dispute except by giving another bad review. My last question would be why you stated that it was way out of warranty, when continued service after the sale should be part of your customer service. Whether or not it was out of warranty. Which of course if you go back to your records you will see that it was not. Original post: The drainage issues flooded our back yard and we spent many a night and day frantically trying to keep the water from entering the house. The landscaping suffered as well. Laub is very busy so it did take a few months to get everything coordinated. The mulch process looks good and Dave helped his workers which was great to see ! Nice person. Well that was two years ago. Now, after the sump pump stopped working and waiting for weeks for Dave Laub to get through his excuses it was fixed. For one rain storm. Now, we have been waiting since August 2019 for a new part which he has ignored our calls and texts, etc. I now have to find and pay another contractor to do the work he refuses to finish! 1 Response from the owner6 days ago Mrs. Salisbury, I’m very sorry you feel this way. As you should remember, the sump pump was way out of warranty, but I paid for the part myself and installed it at no cost to your self. If there were continued issues, I’m unaware of them at this point. Communication would have been much appreciated.

Our neighborhood had cracked and raised sidewalks due to the tree roots. I got a quote from Dave to repair the sidewalks with FlexiPave. I was concerned that his company was in Florida and we were in Atlanta. Dave came when he said he would be here and did a great job. The neighbors were all very complementary of the job his company did. We will certainly use him again when the need arises.
