a year agoCalled for a snow removal quote and as soon as I said “I have a few commercial properties that are in need of snow removal this year” he hung up on me…

6 years agoUnited Landscaping, LLC Swenson Granite Works I had some more work done to my house and had a positive experience and thought I’d share my reviews with you: I’ve been slowly transforming my old house over the years, starting on the inside where it needed it most, with the goal to eventually work my way out. By looking at my outside pics, you can only imagine how it looked on the inside when I bought it a couple years ago. As proud as I was feeling of my new interior remodels and additions, I felt humiliated of my ghetto chic exterior. It didn’t match my interior at all. My curb appeal was seriously lacking, to the point where my own cement porch didn’t want to be associated with the property anymore and pulled away from the house. It’s self esteem was so low, it literally chipped away at itself and tried to hide in shame by sinking into the ground. In regards to the distinct sound of an approaching mail truck, I admit it, I get a bit excited with anticipation everytime I hear that noise. I guess getting that occassional holiday check in the mail from my now dearly departed Grandad still sticks with me, thinking maybe today I’ll receive a surprise in the mail of some sorts. As I eagerly opened my newly installed fancy front door, and hopped over the house/porch gap, my once broken ankle would quiver as my eyes spied my pothole filled asphalt walkways, and I’d retreat back inside. Oh how I often dreamed of my “one day” I’ll have new pretty pavers… The bushes, or lack of… well, it was a house built in the 70s, and along with it when I bought it, came the original overgrown 70s style bushes. When we painted the house, we had those spider houses, I mean bushes, yanked out. To fill the void, Lowes had a nice selection of plants to choose from, and I filled the cart. After planting them, I stood back to admire my work, and was soon reminded, no matter how many HGTV shows I watch, the reality is I’m no Martha Stewart do-it-yourselfer, and wasn’t too sad when they took on my porches negative attitude by withering up and refusing to live. Well, my “one day” had finally financially arrived, and I did my due diligence of interviews and price quotes. The best quality and price quotes for Granite porch landing and steps is at Swenson Granite, located in Newton. For the installation of the pavers and landscaping, Filiberto Vazquez owner of United Landscaping, located in Bridgeport did an amazing job. If you are looking for a hardworking, dedicated, honest, detail oriented perfectionist, who installs hardscaping and landscaping, who has a great eye for landscaping, and is fair on pricing, then I recommend you hire Filiberto. He was on time, neat, and is a very hard worker! He stayed late and even worked on the weekend, both days, nonstop. Since genuine honesty is pathetically a hard virtue to find in people these days, especially in workers, I feel the need to stress how honest Filiberto is. Have you ever talked to someone you just met, and instantly can just get a good feeling about that person? Thats the feeling you get when you talk to Filiberto. I was babysitting my newborn grandson and was unable to go to the nursery with him to pick out plants, so I went with my gut, and gave him my money and asked him to please pick out what he thought would look nice. The next day he went to the nursery and as he picked them out, he sent me pictures and approved the prices with me, coming back here with a whole truckload of beautiful plants, bushes, and trees. I love looking for excuses to go outside and admire my new front lawn, side lawn, and especially love the feel of walking on my level walkway vs the old pothole filled asphalt walkway, and look forward to working with United Landscaping again in the Spring to help me transform my plain ugly backyard into my “one day” beautiful tranquil Oasis I’ve been dreaming of.
