I was super excited when this project began, I had my dream backyard all planned and was promised by newscapes that my standars would be met and things would go great. After paying over 110k my backyard looks like a construction site with dirt everywhere as well as a giant hole where a pool was expected to be. After several no shows by the owner and his crew I finally decided to consult with my lawyer who informed me the company has had multiple lawsuits file against them, so I am not the first . Shut this business down before paying them anymore money to destroy your property

I have worked for the owners of New Scapes in the past in an unrelated position and would like to speak on their good character and professionalism. I was always paid on time for my work and treated fairly and with respect by all members of the family. If I was interested in seeking landscaping work, I would not hesitate to call the team at New Scapes or recommend them to others. The owners are dedicated to their business and are professional, and I believe they can deliver a beautiful work product with attention to detail.

Raised the front part of the lawn. Hard working crew. New sprinkler system and drains. Removed existing walkway and driveway. Added new walkways, lighting and additional parking space as well as a corral for garbage bins. Looking forward to seeing the plants grow up!

The owners of New Scape Landscaping threatened to burn our Business down. FYI Owners! I have a video recording of the incident that took place the night you both verbally attacked my husband and said you would burn our Business down.

My name is Mario and I am a general contractor. I am the CEO of Sure Built Construction Inc. and I specialize in custom luxury remodels. From the first time I used him on a 120k backyard project to the smaller 30k projects, Russell has been wonderful to work with. He is always on budget and schedule. I trust his work and use him on all my exterior landscape projects. He has great crews and the detail in the infrastructure of all my projects is solid. I have no complaints about the work he has done for me and I and as well as my clients are happy to have used his service. I don’t feel that I need to look elsewhere for a landscape contractor. Russell is well equipped to complete any job and understands the industry in his profession as well as I do in mine. I vouch for Russell of Newscapes and will continue to use him on all my projects. He designed all my projects and presented them to my clients. As a matter of fact, he has done that for us and is about to do our landscape work in the front and back yards. *** Will update this post upon completion *** Hoping this review assists me with getting our nearly $200k job completed. Today marks 45 days out from our promised completion date for our backyard landscape and pool install. We signed a contract in February 2018 (Start date mid April and complete date July 15th). Russell assured us that the completion date was more than likely going to be in June, however, he was planning ahead for mishaps and delays and could keep to July 15th “even if everything that could go wrong went wrong”.. So far his crews quality of work seems up to par (great bunch when they show up), however, he has been a bag of surprises (none good) and does not keep his word. A month ago – he reassured us that he was simply a bit further behind than he anticipated and would complete the pool in two weeks and the entire job by the 1st week of September.. Not only does he not seem to be on schedule for that and despite the fact we have already paid him more than scheduled at this point in the game – he has hinted on two separate occasions that if I helped him with some more funding – he could speed up our completion.. I have zero intentions on cutting another check prior to completion and am nearing the point of seeking legal council.. Beautiful plans – terrible delivery thus far.. Hoping Newscapes recovers their fumble. Unless our job is completed with craftsmanship worth the hassles and let downs I am not sure that I would recommend Russel or Newscapes to anyone. – definitely not anyone that I like. UPDATE The job was finally completed in mid September. It took pulling teeth and a tremendous amount of effort and pressure. I will admit that despite some issues with the concrete – the job turned out beautiful. For what we paid – we were put through far too much rigamaroo. Way too much! I am not sure that I would say stear clear at all costs, however, I would not recommend this company to anyone. ** 01/23/18 Another update: Our patio cover has multiple leaks -Russel promised to get back to me 17 days ago. I have reached out twice again since – nothing back from him. After spending $200k with this guy and already having had to “pull teeth” to get the job completed months after promised – I can honestly say that I would have gladly paid somebody much more for the same job without the BS, excuses, let downs and having to track this dude down. * The only good review on here is from Samantha Varnaza – the owner Russel Varnaza’s daughter. Her review should be disregarded as the pics she has shared are of his backyard.
