Don’t have time to write a super long review so maybe I will update this later but Jim and his crew were amazing from the beginning all the way through completion. Quality of work was excellent. The overall duration of the project was good too. There were no delays. Jim is easy to get in touch with if needed, but for the most part I never had to contact him because everything went so smoothly and his foreman Antonio was great and extremely knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again without hesitation.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Artisan Outdoor of Costa Mesa on a comprehensive backyard renovation. Anticipating a significant transformation, I was still amazed at the results – nothing short of spectacular. From the onset, their team demonstrated exceptional expertise and creativity, turning our narrow, limited-use backyard into a more expansive and engaging environment. They skillfully designed multiple conversation and gathering areas, each with its own unique charm. The pavers they installed are a perfect blend of rustic elegance and functionality, expanding and enhancing the overall look and feel of our outdoor space. Their professional installation, complete with proper underlayment, ensures longevity. The interspersed grass areas soften the hardscape, while the strategic lighting at night bathes the space in a warm glow, creating an inviting atmosphere. A standout addition is the new hot tub deck, crafted with Trex decking. This practical choice offers low-maintenance and durability, coupled with a sleek, modern appearance. It quickly became our family’s favorite relaxation and entertainment spot. The installation of a stunning fountain with a dribble wall has entirely transformed my garden’s ambiance. The sound of gently trickling water, paired with underwater lighting, creates a serene retreat, casting mesmerizing ripples of light and shadow. Their design and construction of the outdoor kitchen were precisely what I envisioned. The tropical plantings, carefully selected and arranged by Artisan, have added life, color, and increased privacy to our outdoor space. The self-contained planters with integrated water and drainage systems ensure lush, vibrant scenery with minimal maintenance, reminiscent of a tropical retreat. In conclusion, Artisan Outdoor not only met but exceeded my expectations at every turn. Their attention to detail, commitment to quality, and artistic vision have transformed my backyard into a true oasis. They efficiently completed the project on schedule and within budget. Solena made the construction process of our remodel of the backyard a very smooth ordeal! We loved having Hugo on site everyday and having a steady communication with the crew and office. Would definitely use again for any projects in the future!

Our home is 50 years old. The tree roots began to lift the sidewalk and made it difficult to mow the grass. All the landscaping was overgrown and hard to trim. We knew we wanted a more modern look and an easier to maintain front yard. Plus, we wanted a yard that was more drought tolerant, using less water and requiring less maintenance. Artisan Outdoor was recommended to us by a friend, and we also received bids from other landscapers featured in local home magazines. The Artisan presentation exceeded our expectations, first, by sending a team to our home that included the Designer, Landscape Planner, and the President. They were professional, courteous, and listened carefully to our concerns, wish list and budget. Within days, they had a design plan which they presented to us on a zoom call. That was followed by a visit from the team to our home, discussing all the particulars about the project, a timeline, and line-item pricing. We were good to go, and the work started immediately. They took care of all the permitting and the demo work was underway. Every day the workers were here before 7:00 am, ready to begin. And every evening they stopped a few minutes before they left to clean the area and put everything away. It was impressive, not only to us, but all our neighbors. The finished product was just as promised in the original presentation design. And the follow-up with their staff has been superb. If we could give more than 5-Stars, we certainly would. We made a great decision on something that we’ll appreciate for many, many years. I regret that I didn’t take a few “before” pictures in a similar manner as the “after”. But it can easily be seen by what is uploaded, what a transformation has been made. And while we have a few accessories to add, like pots and wall art for the brick, that will require a little shopping around on our part before a sunny SoCal summer shines on our new-look home.

It was a pleasure working with Artisan Outdoor. My project consisted of replacing flagstone with used brick in a small courtyard. Artisan also created planters with irrigation and lighting. The job came out perfect! The crew was easy to work with and the owner, Jim Neeld, designed a perfect plan. I am planning my next project and will only use Artisan Outdoor.

I usually am a pessimist when expecting a landscape home to be done tastefully and within budget. Artisan Outdoor hit it out of the ballpark on both accounts. They exceeded my expectations by finishing on time and not trying to upgrade me at every turn. Its a strange feeling to enjoy your home landscape more than your new home but I have to call it like I see it.

Outstanding work. They were the ONLY landscaping contractor that answered the phone and was available to come out and do the work I needed on the schedule it was needed. Showed up early, finished on time, ran across some challenges on the job and went the extra mile to overcome the challenge to get the project done. A few days later, I found one small boo-boo with the end result; I called Robert and the crew was out THAT DAY to fix it – no questions asked. Will be using again – highly recommend.
