I want to start out by saying that Connie is amazing and I absolutely LOVE the work she did in my yard. I’m a DIY-er, and I try to do as much landscaping on my own as I can. So my original intent when I reached out to Connie with Xerizen was for her to design a landscape for my front yard that I could do on my own. I chose Connie because I wanted a rain garden with native plants, plants that would attract butterflies and hummingbirds, and xeriscaping with native plants is her specialty. She drew up a design that I loved, but I realized that it would take too long and it would be too much for me to do on my own. So I decided to hire her to do the landscaping for me. This was the BEST decision! Connie and her crew did a fantastic job. She told me before they started that she sometimes changes the design based on what they find as they work. (The original design showed some grass at the front near the sidewalk, but since my grass at the side of the house was nice and healthy, she switched that around on the design.) She incorporated into the design things that I specifically requested. The crew was friendly, respectful of my property, and made sure to clean up every day after they worked. I loved the original design that she drew up, but I love the end result even more. My yard is absolutely amazing. Anytime I’m out in the front yard and a neighbor passes by, they also remark on how amazing it is! And every time I’m out, I see butterflies, hummingbirds, big bumblebees… Now I need her to come back and landscape my back yard!

It’s been a year since Xerizen installed my landscaping. I’ve now seen the change, when some plants bloom and others fade, but there is always something interesting to see. I initially only wanted a simple backyard with plants and patio, but my garden now has a great botanical feel. I now spend so much time in areas that I considered useless. The new front courtyard used to be a grass area I never as much gave a glance, is now a sun garden. It’s a place where I have morning coffee, read, and spend cooler evenings with my new chimenea. The side yard was all wasted space, and now a garden supplies me with tomatoes and herbs. I can’t be happier about how Connie directed her crew to execute her design. During the installation, the Xerizen crew was very courteous, mindful of the cleanup. My living and entertaining space grew in size. The tranquility of this garden is worth every penny. Connie chose a variety of drought tolerant plants and gravel surfaces to replace the bermuda grass installed by the builder. Thank you Xerizen for this treasure, I’m enjoying the yard and house.

Connie is exceptionally creative and meticulous in her placement of plants within the space. She was flexible and responsive to our preferences and our requests for specific changes. Her crew worked around weather for a timely installation, and returned to replace plants that had been damaged after a frost. If something wasn’t quite right, she went out of her way to fix the problem. Very honest and forthright in all her communication. We are very happy with our updated, creative space by Xerizen.

Connie created a Zen garden design that captured the simplicity of my small patio and created an open, inviting front walkway with floral and evergreen plants. Her crew was efficient and installed an irrigation system that was invisible to the eye. I highly recommend Xerizen. And enjoyed working with Connie. She listened, answered my questions, and helped me understand each of her recommendations.

Xerizen Landscapes was hired to redesign our xeriscape yard that we had for seven years. We saw our yard as needing more eye appeal. After taking three separate bids we chose the design done by Xerizen owner Connie Arcinue because it was innovative and efficiently incorporated features from our existing yard. Connie was onsite daily throughout this large project directing the crew, giving us updates on the various stages of the project and helping hands-on with planting when that time came. For a few weeks we found it best to not look at the project site but gradually the chaos was transformed into a great-looking xeriscape yard. We very highly recommend Xerizen Landscapes!
