a month agoHorrible stewardship of a natural area enjoyed by wildlife and humans. Color Burst recently took over the contract to manage Century City in Donelson. Sims Branch Creek runs through the property and Century City built a small dam (many years ago) to create a small pond. Recently the crew cut back all the natural grasses, wildflowers, and ditch lilies surrounding the pond. These are an important part of the ecosystem and this is a natural creek that feeds into our local waterways. The grasses help to filter and clean the polluted water and they provided nutrients and shelter to bullfrogs, turtles and otters and scores of small fish. The grasses and wildflowers were home to many butterflies and pollinators which are at risk in our community. This area is usually teeming with mulitple species of waterfowl and I haven’t seen any since this poor area received such a hack job. More care and caution should be used when managing a natural area. The creek does NOT belong to Century City, it’s part of the ecosystem and waterways of our entire community. This has been very damaging to the wildlife here. Now instead of providing shelter and cleaning the water, all the foliage is rotting at the bottom of the pond. This once beautiful, natural area now looks brown and dead and corporate. Do better when the grasses and plants grow back and steward them rather than hacking them!

11 months agoTerrible management. No help in the office, never got my 401k , whenever I asked for help in the office it was too much for them. Worked here almost 3years… Poor management wouldn’t recommend working here and they don’t want to pay you. High hopes an dreams they sell you.

a year agoMy HOA recently switched landscaping companies to this company. Since the switch it has been an ongoing nightmare with these guys. They just show up whenever they please. Sometimes won’t mow for 2 weeks at a time. For instance they showed up at 8AM today on a Sunday morning….. they’ve mowed early on Saturdays and will show up whenever during the week. Sometimes before 7AM…. I honestly wouldn’t mind if the work was even halfway decent. The lawn is always high and the edging looks like a 10 year did it. Truly embarrassing and such a shame we pay HOA fees for something like this.

a year agoBe very careful using this company. As someone who has seen both the in office part and the in the field part, there are things you need to know. If they need to cut man hours, they will “complete” services and charge you for them even though no services were performed. They will promise all kinds of things and not follow through on them. Most of the 5 star reviews on here are employees or past employees. There are way better companies to choose from. Be very careful with the Brentwood office especially

a year agoI am not one to give reviews on a company or service who do their job and do it as expected. However, I must say Color Burst Landscape who just signed a contract to service our community are just stellar people to work with. Dillard the Operations Project Manager for Three Rivers community is an outstanding representation of the company and the crew. I had a special service that needed urgent attention, Dillard had it address within a couple days. Recently, I notice some stones being exposed in my yard which stunted lawn growth. I attempted to dig out these stones only to realize I had two massive boulders. I flagged Dillard down and asked him about this challenge. Within a couple hours, he had one awesome crew member (Brian I believe his name was) to get started then a crew of 3 additional men including Dillard work to remove one huge boulder specifically. My request I know, put them behind schedule, but this action of help and service says much about the company and the people they employ. So grateful to this crew. I highly recommend any individual resident or community looking for an A+ Landscaping service organization, you need to make them a priority for consideration!! – Dave D.

2 years agoAbsolutely horrible job! It honestly takes effort to leave things looking this way. Grass is completely uneven, some parts not even cut and chunk of grass left everywhere. They clearly do not care about their work at all. A picture of a pile of grass that my husband collected after they left. Completely Unacceptable!! DO NOT HIRE!

3 years agoColor Burst is the landscape contractor at Berry Farms in Franklin TN. They are not a reliable company, often blowing off their customers with promises that never lead to action or outright ignore concerns. The workmanship in a Master Community, Berry Farms is “way less” than quality. The management has a attitude they work for Boyle the developer and fail to remember who is paying HOA dues to allow them to have a contract. The primary problem with any resolution, they shield themselves behind the Developer Boyle & Ghertner who Manages the property – which has multiple HOA’s within the property They are able to skirt the issues on an individual property owner and get away with sloppy work, period. My shrubs are never clipped, and the only time weeds are removed from beds is upon my complaint, etc. I’ve had several shrubs removed by them and not replaced, and they have let some of the shrubs wilt away with disease and die. Last week they treated the lawn with chemicals, yet shutdown the master sprinkler system allowing the over-seeded seedlings to burn up in the unseasonably warm weather we have had this NOV 2020. I would say, without the huge contracts they have, staying in business based on their poor workmanship and merit of quality would not be possible… They don’t even come close to providing the level of service and workmanship in landscape management for the induvial property owner. There are many private Facebook groups with Berry Farms that rant on how awful Color Burst is, so they are fooling themselves if they think the residents of the Berry Farms are happy with their services.
