South Florida Remodelers 4 days agoIf I could leave a zero star I would but it does not let me. I hired this company – and Randy Wilcox, to renovate a condo space in an Aventura condominium. He required 1/2 the money up front which was over $ 32,000.00 My contract was signed 9/2023. There were numerous delays and problems getting started on the project – excuse after excuse. He started by doing the demolition which did not get started until January 2024, tore up the flooring and removed some dry wall that had developed mold. The project went very slow as there was always an excuse why things could not get done. Today as I am writing this review – it is 7/12/2024. He contacted me about 2 weeks ago and said – I am having financial problems and I cannot finish your project. I will turn it over to someone else and you will not skip a beat. Well he gave me a guy’s name whose company does mostly roofing repairs not home remodeling. The guy wanted an additional $ 42,500 up front before he started the project and the project did not even include everything that the original contract did. There was a lot of stuff left out. So the $ 42,500 was not the the total cost to complete the project. Needless to say, I felt this guy was trying to dupe me out of additional money and may have actually been in cahoots with Randy. Pictures of the completed work just demonstrate a torn up 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium with no additional work done. And believe me the demolition he did, did not cost anywhere near what I paid him. So be careful of this company. DO NOT USE THEM. They will steal your money and not complete the work. I have hired an attorney and will pursue legal action against him and his company as well as filing a complaint with the State of Florida Contractor’s board and the Better Business Bureau. The guy Randy wanted me to hire after he bailed out (not sure if this new guy was legit or not) stated he had 4 other people tell him Randy had done the same thing and had taken their money and not completed the work. You do not want to do business with someone like this. Randy will now not return any of my calls or provide me with the materials I supposedly purchased nor the plans that we had to pay the architecture for. Randy as well as his company – South Florida Remodelers are definitely out to scam you. I will find my own contractor at this point and do better due diligence going forward.

South Florida Construction Group, Inc. a month agoSouth Florida Construction Group Inc. has been my general contractor for many years, they replaced my roof, they replaced my kitchen, the installed new floors in the master bedroom and have handled other items around the house. They show up on time, they cleanup when they leave and do not over charge their customers with bogus change orders like many other contractors do. I stand behind South Florida Construction Group Inc.

I have to say that you guys could charge more for the excellent work that you do. I had a contractor quote me double for the job that you did and the work is as perfect as i could have thought.
